NB: There will only be one or two sitters, but as we are a mother & daughter team I have needed to attach the 'family' symbol.
We love to pet & house sit together when time permits, but sometimes only Maddie will be available. On such occasions Maddie may prefer to Sit with her partner, Felix. Animals adore him. We are all non-smokers and are both triple vaccinated against Covid 19.
We were first-time sitters in December 2017. We sat for a family in Richmond looking after two small doggies & a rag-doll cat. (See review below)
In August 2019, we sat for the same family in Richmond for 2 weeks. This is the response to the review we gave the home-owner, Lauren. >> "Karin and Maddie are excellent Housesitters. They look after the animals as if they were theirs and are very careful considerate and respectful about the house and it's belongings. Total peace of mind."
In the summer of 2018, Maddie looked after gorgeous cats and their homes in Glasgow and Southsea. (See reviews below)
In 2019, both Maddie and Karin cared for a beautiful Bengal cat and his home in Downton. (See review below)
In September, 2022 Maddie completed a house/pet sit in Edinburgh caring for two playful young cats (See review below)
During October, 2022 Karin and Maddie completed two Sits. The first in Lyme Regis caring for an enjoyable staffy-cross dog, the other in Radstock looking after a very special 15 year old labrador and her devoted pug companion. (See reviews below)
Maddie with her partner Felix house-sat and cared for a delightful cat in London for a week over the Christmas 2023 period. (See attached review. NB: spelling error in review. Felix not Alex)
Maddie and her partner Felix cared for and shared adventures with the most amazing and loveable dog in Brighton for over a month during March and April, 2024. (See review below)
We are both healthy and active. Maddie has a masters degree in Shakespeare Studies. She is a theatre actor, a theatre facilitator and an athlete. Karin is a creative writing masters graduate and is writing a book.
In 2014, we lost our sweet chihuahua x Sophie, who passed at aged 19. In 2019. we said goodbye to Ollie at 15 years, a kelpie x German shepherd. He was described as 'everyone's friend' and in 2022 our gorgeous cat Harry passed. He was 15 years old, but his sister Coco has outlived him. and is very healthy. As we are all aware, we don't have them in our lives for long, but we love them while we can.
We have been dog walkers for a registered dog home, and there was a time in our past when we owned and often looked after horses, including Bronnie, our quarter horse and Princess, our Welsh pony.
In 2020, we adopted Rhea, a loving kelpie x boxer rescue dog - now 5 years old. Our ragdoll cat Coco, now 16 years of age is still sprightly and 2 elderly hens free-range in our garden but are in their henhouse at night.
Maddie is a responsible, reliable and thoughtful individual with loads of common sense, who loves travelling and being around animals. By profession, Karin is a retired registered nurse and the mother of three grown children. We would care for your pets as if they were our own, and keep your home safe and clean.
Very best wishes always!
Maddie & Karin
