I now have 10+ years of house sitting under my belt. If your pet loves company, they'll plenty of attention, cuddles, walks etc. If they don't care for company and just need them feeding and watering, that's fine too.
I've cared for quite a few rescues and pets with a sensitive nature who need a sitter to respect their ways and routines. Past sits have also seen me caring for older animals and pets post-surgery where they need an extra eye on them and lots of TLC. If your animals have medical needs, I'm confident in administering any necessary medication e.g. drops, antibiotics, or injections.
I'm a keen walker so dogs who need a good run out will get it! I've sat for a mix of dog and cat breeds from Weimaraners, greyhounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks to Chihuahuas, Jack Russell and spaniels. Cat sits have been for a mixed bag of breeds too.
If your animals live outside, I've experience looking after chickens, pigs, sheep, rabbits, and know to top-up water troughs, clean out coops etc. I won't make out to be a confident horsewoman - I'm not, but I've made sure that horses get fed and keep an eye out for any issues, potential lameness, etc.
Finally, I've done a few reptile sits but 'entry level' - tortoises and lizards!
