60, Cultural Manager
65, Retired Dean at Newcastle University Medical School
Experienced and reliable, warm and friendly
Teresa: 60 (Cultural Manager) and John: 64: Emeritus Professor, and retired Dean at Newcastle University Medical School
We are mature and reliable. Now that John has retired, and I work part-time from home, we are interested in house and pet-sitting to allow us to travel and take care of properties in the UK and have just joined House Sitters.
Upon arrival to your home, we will send you a photo of your pet with us, and daily during the sit, as we know what a comfort this is to us too with our own dog.
We always keep our house immaculate and would look after yours, and your pets, as if they were our own. I was also the landlord of a six-bedroom HMO flat in Newcastle, so know how to look after houses. John is highly practical and can sort out any problems I can’t.
Neither of us smoke.
We enjoy taking our 2- year- old Working Cocker Spaniel, Milly, out for walks in the Northumberland countryside, and to the beaches.
We have both grown up with dogs – spaniels and Yorkshire terriers, so know how to take good care of them. We pay particular attention to their eating and drinking, and toileting, to check that they are feeling well.
Teresa has a Biology degree from the University of York, and has cared for cats since she was six.
We are both experienced around horses too – having ridden for over 30 years.
So choose us if you want to feel reassured that your pets are nurtured, their daily routines stay on track and your home cared for while you are away. And on your return, your house will be clean and tidy, just like you left it, your pot plants tended to, and your pets loved as if they were our own.
I have a DBS certificate, and we are happy to provide references upon request.
