Since departing the office environment in early '22 I have been lucky enough to regularly combine remote working with some house sitting adventures ever since. Very pleased to be part of a community where, in my experience, there are such positive outcomes; the homeowners being able to travel with enough peace of mind, and those sitting to enjoy different experiences in new places.

As my reviews hopefully attest, I take animal care very seriously and get a lot of satisfaction from seeing pets comfortable and content. This would mainly apply to cats at this point! I also try to be conscientious in terms of general home care, with a strong preference to live in, as well as leave behind, a healthy and clean environment.

Gil was a great house-sitter. He visited us before we left and kept in touch whilst we were away, which gave us confidence. On our return, the house was very clean and tidy and the gardening jobs had been well executed. Most importantly, our 20 year-old cat was in good spirits and had clearly been very well cared for. We found Gil to be a straightforward gentle person, with excellent qualities for house and pet-sitting.

Having Gil look after our cat Wezy has been a great experience. He took time to visit and get to know Wezy before the sit, and made the whole experience feel very safe and easy. Gil is very gentle and calm in his approach to housesitting and pet care, which was perfect for Wezy, and for us! We came home to a calm and contented cat and wouldn't hesitate to have Gil sit for us again. Thankyou Gil!

Gil was very friendly and easy to communicate with, left our house super clean and tidy, and most importantly looked after our precious George with lots of care. I was nervous about going away for the first time since we took in our rescue cat during the pandemic. I needn't have been: Gil proved the perfect house sitter - his kind, principled character, his ability to adapt to a new environment, were immidiately apparent, and we came home to a well kept house and - most importantly - a healthy and content cat. I can't recommend Gil highly enough and if you are considering having him look after your home, don't hesiate - he's a rare find!

This was the first time we had ever used this house sitting service so we were all a little nervous about having someone we really didn’t know in our house and also to look after our precious dog and cat. Gil was the perfect house and dog sitter. When I first read his profile and saw his picture on the site, I had a really good feeling. We left him with 4 tortoises and a cat to look after On our arrival back home the house was spotless and we could see that the animals were well looked after. Our experience of Gil was good from start to finish. He was outstanding. He arrived punctually and we spent a few days together so that i could show him around our house and local walks with the dogs. He is quiet, polite and friendly. Our journey home was delayed by two days.. Gil went out of his way to stay the extra time to care for the dogs until our returnwhich meant, as I discovered later, getting up at 4am so that he could arrive at his next placement on time.. Gil looked after our house and dogs for 11 days recently. We placed the ad at very short notice and we were worried we wouldn't be abke to find someone in time. Thank goodness Gill answered our prayers! As soon as we communicated with Gil via facetime, I knew he would be perfect. A really lovely man, who took great care of our home and dogs.
