Hi there, my name is Coleen aka Zawadi and I am an energised 57 year old who feels 42...I have been a house/pet sitting with this site almost 2 years now, although I'm not new to House-sitting!

I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy, considerate and caring to look after your pets/home/garden. I like animals a lot and would love the opportunity to get to know your furry friends and their personalities while taking meditative walks, spending time in nature and reading/writing. Keeping life simple. I love the company of animals and recognize their ability to bring us much joy and healing.

I'm also very passionate about the environment and live an intentional life. I care about what kind of impact I make while living on this earth. The motto I live by is "Always leave a place better than you found it."

I have house-sitted in the past and have always been praised for my attentive caring nature. I know that communication is very important and will make sure to keep you updated on your pet/s.

If you have a garden or plants you care for - I have qualifications in horticulture and will give TLC to any plants and trees you may have in your home or garden. My background is in Community Work, Mentoring and Eco-Living practices. I have volunteered for non profit community organisations in the UK and in various countries around the world. I have previous experience of living and managing a homestead in Jamaica for 4 years.

I am a creative student of life and love learning new skills. Over the years I have taught myself - painting, decorating, furniture restoration (interior design).

Currently, my attention is focused on house sitting around the UK while writing my memoirs.

I will take good care of your pets and home and see to it that the agreed responsibilities are met. I am a non-smoker.

Coleen and her daughter looked after our home and our two pets, Star and Ziggy for three weeks. We were very impressed by the care and attention they gave the pets and both the garden and house were very well looked after. Coleen house sat for us for our 3 cats and 1 dog when we went to visit family in Italy for 2 weeks. Coleen came to see us in advance so she could meet the animals and get a feel for the place. She was a lovely gentle soul and it was a great relief to know that the furry beasts were going to be well looked after in our absence. Coleen sent photos and updates periodically so we knew all was well back home. I would recommend Coleen and would have her back to house sit any time

I was going to N/A the garden rating but decided to give 5 stars for the fact there was a garden but no gardening was required for the sit...the 3 stars seems like it was included in the sit but I didn't do a such a good job. Can that be corrected please and thank you.
Coleen looked after our house and elderly cat Rice for 10 days. The house, garden and cat were all in great shape when we returned. Thanks for a great house sitting experience Coleen Vicky

Arranging a house sit gave us the added bonus of getting to know Coleen and her daughter Sapphira. They are interesting people and we found lots of common ground. They struck up a really good rapport with our dog Maya, who seemed entirely relaxed with them and even coped with the trauma of fireworks and thunder with their help.
