We love to travel and walk! Favourite destinations are the Lake District and U.K. coast.
Having had a pet dog when the children were growing up, we decided to puppy raise for guide dogs once they’d left home.
We’ve raised three guide dog puppies to date.
Now Ian is retiring and I work from home so we have more flexibility and have decided to give house/dog sitting a go!
I’m allergic to cats so we are unable to stay in a house with a cat.
We do like to go out walking each day (not all day!) so an elderly dog that can't walk with us (or be left for a couple of hours after a short walk) wouldn’t suit.
I won’t have dogs on beds with me either, but I’m happy to cuddle them on the sofa!
We would particularly love to house sit in the Lake District, Edinburgh or anywhere on the U.K. coast ☺️
Sonia and Ian were great sitters, friendly with great communication, keeping us up-to-date throughout the sit. Fin was well cared for and happy to see us. The house was clean and tidy and we would recommend them.
Sonia and Ian were great house and dog sitters. Right from the start the dogs took to them (and Olive is a bit choosy). Sonia was very proactive in communication before and during the stay (with a minor health query and some pictures) and we were totally confident in their ability to look after two dogs with quite different personalities and requirements. There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
