We are Andy & Liz, a mature semi-retired couple from Australia who have come back to the UK after more than 20 years away. Previously we have lived in Cheshire, Bournemouth and Dartmouth and have spent some time in London, all of which we loved. Now we are exploring the UK again.

Andy is a chef and Liz worked in IT for many years, as well as at the State library and archives in Tasmania. We are non-smokers and vegetarian. We love travelling, walking, gardening, cooking good food and drinking good wine. We have our own transport, clean drivers’ licenses and no dependent children, so we aren’t tied to an area. We are reliable, trustworthy, clean and tidy.

In Australia we spent our time buying and renovating several homes so we know how to look after a house and garden. We are also animal-lovers and know how to look after dogs, cats, chickens and fish (rabbits and hamsters wouldn’t be a problem either). We would love to come and look after your home while you relax and enjoy your time away.

We were really happy to have Andy and Liz sitting for us, they did a great job whilst they were here and Oonagh was very chilled and happy when we returned so we know she was happy too! They were very capable and looked after the house, leaving everything very clean and tidy. They chatted to visitors in our adjacent holiday cottage, they collected apples and took them to be pressed, they met our family and neighbours, everyone saying how friendly they were. Very good and easy communication and our house was left very clean and tidy. Very flexible and adapted easily around our travel plans. Thanks as well for the updates and for sending photo’s through, Rua seems to have had a lovely time, We would definitely use again.

It was a great pleasure to met Andy and Liz who housesat for about two weeks in September. They are some of the very best housesitters that we have ever had - and we have been doing this for many years. The dogs were clearly happy and relaxed with Andy and and Liz and they welcomed us home with a lovely lunch of home-made bread and soup and bowls of flowers. These two are the most beautiful people. They are so warm and genuine that it made leaving our pets and home easy. Nothing was an issue and they managed any problems they had with great communication. They animals were spoilt rotten and are definitely missing them. What wonderful house sitters Andy and Liz are ! They left our house absolutely spotless and gave us regular updates about our cat and how she was getting on. They also left us some gifts and some lovely homemade soup on our return, what a wonderful welcome home ! Where do we start? As soon as communication started with Andy and Liz , I knew rhey were "the ones". Such a wonderful couple. Our cats still miss them dreadfully. Caring and kind. A remarkable couple, who seem to turn their hands to anything. If we are lucky enough to manage to get them back for another sit, it will be like winning the lottery. If Andy and Liz offer to sit for you, accept at once! As with Geoff and Marie who sat for us last year, this is another truly lovely couple who left the house spotless and kindly fed us on our return. The animals are missing them!

I cannot recommend Liz and Andy highly enough. Our dog loved them and was well looked after and our house was immaculate on our return. There was a delicious pot of homemade soup waiting for us which was very welcome after a long journey. I very much hope they are available on any future trips.

We chatted a number of times beforehand and they asked all the right equations - clearly focused around care of our animals (2 dogs and 9 chickens) and security of our house (a small holding with 4 acres of land). Andy and Liz were absolutely fantastic sitters. The house was clean on our return (they even used their own bedding and towels) and Jinx was a very happy content cat. We got regular updates and they even baked us some delicious cookies! Will definitely be reaching out to them again in the future!

Liz and Andy looked after our cat Ginger while we were away for just over three weeks. We were lucky they could come the day before we left so we had a chance to introduce them to Ginger and show them around the house. Liz and Andy were a godsend. Absolutely 5 star sitters. Andy and Liz face timed me to make all the arrangements arrived on time, and contacted me to make sure the dog wasn't left alone if I couldn't get back home. Flat was left clean and even better there was a fantastic bowl of soup for me to eat after a tiring journey. You just know and feel when you meet good people, and it was so in our case. Andy and Liz just exude kindness when you meet them. They took to our dogs immediately and the dogs were all over them saying hello. We did not hesitate going on holiday and leaving them in charge of our house and dog children. Andy and Liz were both very professional and took their responsibilities very seriously, with warmth and energy. We really appreciated the contact from them when we were away, giving updates on our dog and sharing photos of her!
