Sara & Paul

Hello! We are Sara and Paul - a professional couple in our fourties.

Sara: grew up in South Wales and moved to the North East of England after graduating. Spent over 20 years in Newcastle before recently moving to Scotland.

Paul: grew up in Tyne & Wear and lived in Northumberland before also moving to Scotland. 



We are a reliable, trustworthy and organised couple who work hard and like to keep things clean and tidy. We are non-smokers and rarely drink. 

Both of us grew up with dogs and cats (plus fish and canaries!) and have had our own dogs. Our dog breeds have included:-

Doberman (the softest, sweetest dog. Needed LOTS of exercise and a strong arm when walking on lead ☺️)
Maltese
Chihuahua
Labrador
Cocker spaniel
Jack Russells
Mixed breeds
We therefore have lots of previous experience of taking care of animals!

Sara also rented out rooms in her home for several years so has lots of experience of living with others and ensuring a house is well maintained.

Covid times changed our day to day working lives and we now spend a lot of time working from home. We both love a change of scenery and would find house and pet sitting fun and very rewarding.



ABOUT US & OUR EXPERIENCE



Outside of work we both love to travel, cook, watch box sets, listen to podcasts/music, read and love being outdoors - running, hiking, cycling and camping. We love to visit new places whether in the UK or overseas.

We have a love of houseplants too (mainly discovered during lockdowns!). We love greenery in our own home and would be happy to look after your plants ☺️

We recently looked after a friend’s dog and cat whilst they went away to get married. We appreciate the responsibility this brings looking after other people’s pets. 



WHY WE WANT TO HOUSE SIT / WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU



House and pet sitting is a great way for us to help people and animals. Neither of us ever boarded our dogs and we appreciate it’s better for animals to stay in their own home while owners are away and we are happy to take care of them for you. House sitting also helps us because it lets us visit somewhere new and we can enjoy taking care of your homes and pets (we love animals but because we like to travel we have chosen not to have any more pets at this time 😔). 



When you choose us to be your housesitters we can first have a chat over phone/video call. Doing so means we can get to know each other and we will ask questions about your pet/home care routine. This gives you the chance to meet us and ask any questions.

Following this we can confirm the sit and if suitable, depending on location, we can make arrangements for a visit to your home to meet in person before you go.

While housesitting for you we will make sure that your home and pets are well cared for so you do not need to worry while you are away.

We will treat your home with respect and your animals will have our full attention. 

We provide animal and pet care including walking, feeding, playing, basic training, basic grooming, administering medication (oral and topical), treatments and minor wound care, cuddles and lots of love. Our aim is to keep up with your pets usual routine where possible to help them be safe, healthy and happy.



We are willing to care for lots of animals including dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits/guinea pigs/hamsters, etc. 

We are happy to provide house care, general property maintenance and look after your plants. We can discuss specific requirements so that each other’s expectations are met. 



We understand it can be hard to be separated from your pets and it takes a lot of trust to leave them with someone new. We would be glad to keep you updated with photos, videos and messages about your home and pets during our stay to put you at ease. We usually do updates every couple of days but if you would prefer more or less updates you can let us know. We really don’t mind!
