I am a total animal lover who has cared for animals my whole life. I grew up with cats, dogs, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters ,many of them rescued. I also have experience looking after chickens, ducks, chinchillas and fish.
I treat every animal as an individual with their own personality and quirks. I also understand how important it is to follow their regular routines for their contentment and wellbeing.
I have many years experience of house/pet sitting for friends and family . As a former community pharmacist, I am a very conscientious, practical and trustworthy person to look after your home.
Now I am taking the opportunity to frequently travel abroad so am unable to have pets of my own. My hobbies are drawing and reading so I have a lap available for many hours of pet cuddling if desired.

Julie came to save the day (again!!) and it was a delight having her keep Kubu Company. She knew his medication routine, kept him busy with playtime and cuddle and updated me daily. House was kept clean and tidy upon arrival. Kubu was really comfortable around her and would happily reccomend Julie.
We certainly struck gold with Auntie Julie ! We are so grateful she came to look after Lou Lou, Phoebe and Teddy. They absolutely love you ! On arrival Julie gave them space to warm to her and we ended up leaving with no doubts, we knew they would all be loved just how we love them. While we were away Julie kept in contact with regular texts and photos which were so lovely to see. the dogs looked so happy and content. 5 stars are extremely well deserved. Julie was very easy to communicate with, sensible, practical, and nothing phased her - unfortunately my older dog developed a skin condition the first day I was away, but she took this entirely in her stride and managed it perfectly. She was keen to understand the two dogs; was very perceptive about them and "got" them very quickly. They took to her the minute she arrived and are going to miss her! She's a genuine animal lover.
Julie was fantastic! She responded to my last minute request amazingly and she was so easy to communicate with - even sending me updates throughout the week which really reassures me that Misty is well cared for. The house was left clean and tidy and misty was very calm and clearly had had a lovely time! Julie even managed to stay an extra day for me after I got stuck with the stormy weather! Julie was absolutely what I wanted/needed in a housesitter. She moved in and just looked after my house (she mastered the heating and the log burner), my two dogs and 14 chickens like a pro.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, she was even able to extend her stay by two days and handed over to my next housesitter with all of my instructions and any extra comments of things that she had learnt during her stay.
I throughly recommend Julie and hope to see her again.
Julie is an absolute gem. Nothing too much trouble, so helpful, very kind, house was spotless, and animals all well looked after and happy. Zebby was very sad when Julie left to go home. A shining star in the house sitter world ☺️
Julie was a real find, the cats adored her, she looked after them so well, and the house was spotless when we returned. Would be very happy to have her back.
Julie was lovely. She arrived so she could meet us before we left which was lovely. Unfortunately the toilet flush broke during the stay but I got a plumber there the following morning to fix it. Julie stayed until we got back. Such a lovely lady.
Really nice getting know Julie and her past experience with having her own dogs. From start Julie made me feel re-assured that Kubu would be in great hands and felt really comfortable with Kubu’s medical routine. She was self-sufficient and asked many questions about how things worked at home and with Kubu.
