Tracey & John

Hello there,
We are Tracey and John from Auckland New Zealand. From April 2025 we're travelling around the UK and Europe for six months. For the 30+ years of our married life we've always had pets. Our family currently includes three cats -- 12-year-old sisters Maddie and Izzy, and Diego, an ex-stray who adopted us six years ago. Our good friend's son will be taking care of our pets while we are away travelling. We also had two beautiful cats -- Bonnie, a tortoiseshell who lived for 19 years, and our dear male cat Phantom, who lived for 17 years. We've also shared our lives with the adorable Millie, a sweet golden Labrador who we adopted at age 4, and Weetbik, a Flemish Giant rabbit who happily lived free-range in our backyard. We have cared for sick and injured birds, hedgehogs and mice that have turned up in our garden. We have also cared for our neighbours' and friends' homes and pets whilst they were on vacation. This included feeding and exercising their pets, collecting mail, taking care of houseplants and watering their gardens.
Tracey loves gardening and houseplants, yoga and dance, and is an avid reader.
John worked at Auckland International Airport for 34 years. He is a keen handyman and has fully renovated two of our houses. He is happy to mow lawns if a house-sit requires it.
We're both interested in the outdoors, walking, e-biking and travelling the world. We are non-smokers, non-vapers, and are quiet, mature people. We both hold full New Zealand driver's licences.
The concept of house- and pet-sitting appeals to us. We love to travel, we love animals, and to us this is the perfect combination of both. We bring maturity and experience along with a kind and caring philosophy.
