Hello. My partner Shane and I are semi retired. I was a teacher and Shane worked as a carpenter and later in his career as a health and safety manager on building projects.
We have had a variety of experience with pets and other animals. and over the years have cared for birds, sheep, cats and dogs. Since registering with House Sitters we can now add horses, donkeys, rabbits and reptiles to the list.
We both enjoy being with animals and are quite confident that, if shown the ropes we could manage and care for a small number of farm animals.
We love many things about living in London but both really enjoy escaping from the city especially to explore the countryside or coastal areas. This gives us the chance to enjoy outdoor activities like walks, cycling and swimming.
We often holiday using Airbnb, so we are very used to being responsible and respectful in other people's homes.
We are totally happy to ensure full cleaning and laundering of any rooms and things that we have used.
I am able to provide references if needed, or you could check out my hosting profile on my Airbnb account. We are very adaptable so please contact us if you think we might suit your needs.
Update... Aug 2024. Shane can't always accompany me so I may ask if a female friend can accompany me on the house sitting. I would provide you with full details about the person depending on dates that you might like to discuss a house sit with me.

Caron was wonderful. She arrived in a storm, blown through the front door like Mary Poppins in a raincoat and was immediately part of the family. She loved our three Westies and they had a wonderful time with her, exploring and being taken for long walks, with lots of evening cuddles. The house was immaculate on our return and she swam in our wild swimming pond every day, enjoying her surroundings. Caron and Shane were lovely house sitters, they were friendly and easy going and they took very good care of the house and my cat and dog who were both relaxed and happy on my return. I would be happy to have them again.

Caron & her friend Adele very kindly arrived the night before we went away allowing us to have an early start. Caron kept in contact with us regularly with photo's & messages. Our boys had a great time & when we arrived home they were worn out from a nice long walk & the house was clean & tidy. Caron had even stripped the beds for us which was much appreciated. Caron did a great job & we'd definitely recommend her for any future house sitting.

Caron was great and looked after animals fantastically well. The house was spotless on our return. Communication was brilliant. As first timers we were filled with trepidation, however Caron & Carmel were utterly amazing looking after our animals and house in splendid style. Neither were used to the larger animals (goats donkeys and horses) but having discussed the requirements beforehand they felt they were able to c0pe, and they surely did! They left the house cleaner than when we left it! We thoroughly recommend these two lovely and capable ladies.
