We are a non smoking couple from the UK. We have been together for 32 years and owned our own homes in Hampshire, for 30 years.
We left full time employment in 2019 to travel and experience other countries for much longer periods of time, planning to house and pet-sit to enable slow travel. We had worked for our respective employers for around 20 years each and it was time for a change. This was pre-pandemic, and we then had to adapt the plans a little!
We love animals, and enjoy caring for them whilst looking after a property, we are essentially homebodies who love to travel! We much prefer to stay home in the evenings, cook our own meals and then cosy up with a film, a book and a furry friend, this has usually been dogs, but our friends' cats are usually up for a snuggle too, but of course only on their own terms.
We regularly look after and have full responsibility for our neighbour's dog, and we find this hugely rewarding. Many of our friends and family have furry friends and we adore them; if our ultimate plan wasn't to travel long-term we would absolutely have our own pets. We are an active couple who regularly go on walks and love canine company on them.
Graham has worked all his life as a technical service engineer, with plumbing and electrical skills, and is practical and resourceful. He also loves the garden; watering, deadheading, weeding, mowing - all favourite pastimes.
Heather was employed as the Customer Service Manager with an international manufacturing firm, dealing with customers, leading a team, liaising with production and also shipping worldwide - lots of problem solving skills and attention to detail, reliable and sensible.
Graham has a 2018 DBS Certificate via his previous employment, and we are insured for pet-sitting and have public liability insurance. Certificate of insurance can be forwarded, upon confirmation of booking.
We would love to be considered for your house-sitting opportunity. With us in your home, you can travel stress free knowing your home and loved ones are in the right (insured) hands.
We also have used housesitters for 4 months in our house, for our 'big trip' so understand the potential worries that a HouseOwner can have. We enjoy keeping in touch whilst you are away, as much or as little as you like, with photos and updates of your pets in our care.
We have been in contact with some terrific HouseOwners, we have loved our experiences so far and we have been invited to return on many occasions. We have taken care of dogs, cats, ducks and prizewinning chickens, guinea pigs and a gecko!

Another house and dog sit from this amazing couple. Our 2 spaniels were truly spoiled and just adore Heather & Graham.
Routines were kept to and dogs were extremely calm with both of them.
Our house was also in safe hands and very clean and tidy upon our return.
We received photos and videos of the dogs as well as any issues , which were rare, on a regular basis.

Another repeat sit by this amazing duo. This time round there were several ups and downs due to weather conditions and I can most heartily say that Graham & Heather were storm troopers. Graham dealt with power issues and leaks. Of course all these things were communicated to us daily as well as how our precious dogs were enjoying themselves. We returned happily to a clean house and very happy dogs. Such a bonus to go away knowing everything is in safe reliable, capable & trustworthy hands. ... MOREAnother repeat sit by this amazing duo. Another wonderful experience for our 2 spaniels! Heather & Graham are meticulous in looking after my house and dogs. They are great at communicating with you and attending and keeping the routines you would do yourself. Can’t fault them at all. Very reassuring to leave them in control. They had such fun this time organising a pup Olympics course! Just amazing.

Once again top marks to Heather & Graham. It is so reassuring to go away knowing your precious belongings which include 2 dogs are so well cared for. Our spaniels adore them both with our old man Freddie getting some extra special cuddles from Graham - the dog whisperer. The hot weather meant plants too got extra watering & the doggie paddling pool was found and well used. Communication with photos, videos & messages was excellent. Heather & Graham are the best. They house sat for us and our 2 dogs for a week and were just brilliant. We received daily updates on how our 2 dogs were being cuddled, fed and walked. We felt so appreciative of all their communications and laughed at some of the antics. It was lovely to go away knowing everything was in good hands and so well cared for. We were delighted that Heather and Graham could house sit for us again. They formed a brilliant bond with our dog Bertie so he was very excited to see them! The level of care for both Bertie and our house was excellent with the added bonus of them already being familiar with the setting so the handover was very straight forward. Heather and Graham looked after my home and pets for the second time and everything was perfect. My dogs adore them and get masses walks and attention , even TV programmes selected especially for them! They sent me regular updates and pictures which are very much appreciated. They left my house beautifully clean and tidy and are excellent house sitters in every way. I am, as before, very grateful for the peace of mind they provide.

We struck gold with our house/dog sitters Heather and Graham. They truly loved and cared for our 2 cocker spaniels. We were having building work done and they dealt with the workmen, looked after our chickens and watered our plants. We had a WhatsApp group so they sent us cute photos of our dogs every day. When we came back from holiday we had to dash off to a funeral so we were a bit manic. Heather and Graham continued with the care of our dogs without skipping a beat, and sorted everything ... WOW! Heather & Graham are super kind, reliable and trusted. They took great care of Lola, walks, play and plenty of photos of her giving us confidence all was well. Also the house was kept clean & tidy & Graham kindly offered to mow the lawn for us! They actually went above and beyond, helping move my van and loading furniture into it so it was ready for me to deliver to my daughters new flat upon my return! I would definitely have them return, as sitters and Lola loved them.

Heather and Graham looked after our golden retriever and house / garden for 2 weeks. I cannot praise them more highly, they were extremely professional, took great care of the house (including handling some issues that arose while we were away), obviously love animals and bonded so well with Juno. They sent photos and updates every day, We returned to a very clean home and very happy, contented dog!

Heather and Graham are such superb house- and dog-sitters that we asked them to return. Jasper, our English springer spaniel, could not have been more delighted to be in their care once again. They gave him so much attention and affection that we could completely relax while we were away. We received photos and videos of Jasper's walks, antics and relaxation that we could see how contented he was. Not surprising given the cuddles, leg massages and grooming he received! Heather and Graham were absolutely first class house sitters. They were easy to communicate with and very responsive before the sit. They looked after everything beautifully, including mowing extensive lawns, watering veg garden and indoor plants, walked and played with Bella the dog, took excellent care of the ducks and made sure the cat was well fed. They were considerate and proactive - offering to do things we hadn't thought of or wouldn't have expected. They also sent great up-dates. I ... Heather and Graham are superb house / pet sitters. Very courteous and clean, and so conscientious. Their communication was excellent throughout.
Mutley is a 3.5 year old Springer Spaniel who is nervous about new people but he has taken to Heather and Graham so much. Throughout their time with Mutley they sent me many photos of them all having nice times at home (cuddles) and out on walks.

Another house and dog sit from this amazing couple. Our 2 spaniels were truly spoiled and just adore Heather & Graham.
Routines were kept to and dogs were extremely calm with both of them.
Our house was also in safe hands and very clean and tidy upon our return.
We received photos and videos of the dogs as well as any issues , which were rare, on a regular basis.
