We are a friendly, honest, reliable and clean couple in our 50s - I recently retired from working in IT and we are now taking the opportunity to do some travelling around the UK. If we confirm a house-sit, we will be there for you!

We have successfully house-sat before in the UK, Bermuda, Luxembourg and South Africa. Once we looked after 6 dogs for a lovely lady in Dorset and we coped very well, although we'd prefer to limit this to 3 dogs in the future!

We have received excellent references from all of the sits we have done, and this year we have completed seven house sits so far.

We previously raised puppies for Guide Dogs, so we have been through their background checks and training.

We are non-smokers and will take the best care of your home and pets. We keep to your pets’ usual routines (feeding / exercise / bed times etc.), so they have a stress-free time while you are away. We send regular updates with pictures and videos so you can be assured your pets are happy and healthy.. We also have our own transport, so rural locations are fine.

A contribution of 50p per mile towards our travel expenses at the start and end of the house-sit are welcomed, but we do not charge any fees for sitting.

Chris & Lorna did an exceptional job. From the first point of communication, we knew we had chosen the right house sitters. They were knowledgeable about Labradors, having had experience as guide dog puppy trainers. Arrived the evening before to get to know us/animals and their routine and shared an early dinner with us. Chris and Lorna looked after my dog, house and garden beautifully. My miniature schnauzer was happy to see me but obviously had a great bond with Chris and Lorna. They waited until I returned to hand over in spite of an airport delay which I did appreciate. Chris and Lorna live locally and so were able to come and meet us and be introduced to all the animals. They had not looked after bantams or horses before . After two visits here and a few videos of daily tasks for the animals they were happy to be in charge for 6 days. Chris & Lorna have been and looked after Bella on two occasions recently and been fantastic on both occasions. Bella was so excited to see them when they came to stay the second time. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived home. It was also nice having updates on Bella while we where away which reassured us. We would definitely have Chris and Lorna come to stay again. We would highly recommend them to look after your home and pets. Thank you both.
