Jacqui & Claire

Hello, we are Claire and Jacqui, two very good friends who are using time off work (due to ill health) as an opportunity to travel and see more of England with our trusty companion Peggy (a 2 year old Cavapoochon), whom we both absolutely adore and no trip away would be the same without.

We are currently looking for a new place to live as London doesn't really feel like a place we want to retire in anymore. So far we have narrowed places down to countryside or coastal, but the perfect location is still undecided. We really need to see more of England to make an informed decision...that's how we justify it to ourselves anyway!

So far we've stayed in a half a dozen or so AirbnB properties (long weekends and month-long stints) many of which were family homes that we treated as our own. When we came across the house sitting idea, we both became really excited as it seems like a much more affordable way for us to see more of the country whilst tapping into our already gained experience of housesitting and spending time with/caring for dogs. A win, win!

We can only imagine how nerve wracking it can be to choose and entrust someone from the many applicants. We've always had good reviews from Airbnb hosts with the last an open offer to return. Hopefully this gives some reassurance as to our integrity. We see this as a two-sided arrangement and are both on the same page when it comes to treating your place as a home from home. As mentioned we are both on a career break which gives us the flexibility to travel. We would be very happy to look after your animals/plants/gardens/whatever else while you are away and really look forward to chatting to you further about this.
