Hi!
I'm Ben, I am a Finance and Costing Manager working in the International Development/Aid sector. I work 100% remotely (with very occasional office meetings and bi-annual away day events).
I spent 12 years living and working overseas and returned to the UK in late 2017, and have been renting privately since that time.
Recently, I have decided that life being short, I would like to see more of the UK in a little more depth than the odd weekend break can provide, and to this end have purchased a caravan and joined the relevant clubs, and have enjoyed travelling to different parts of the country, all the while working full time (thanks to Starlink internet!). When I came upon this site, I instantly knew this would work perfectly for me. I love animals, dogs and cats in particular, and have been an owner previously, and recently have been a member of Borrowmydoggy, although the part of East Sussex I was living in had very few members.
I am a responsible, clean and tidy person that enjoys time alone as much as socialising. My main hobbies are walking and hiking (on a 30,000 steps per day regimen currently, I love it, my feet don't!) while listening to audiobooks (thanks to Audible) so your dogs would certainly get enough walks and exercise (but not too much for them). I enjoy the outdoors, nature and gardening, cooking, wine, and learning acoustic guitar (making very little progress but having fun).
Ideally I would like to spend the next few years seeing more of the UK, England and Wales first, eventually Scotland too, while I save funds for my dream of a widebeam narrowboat. I would prefer stays of a minimum of 2 weeks, maximum of 4 months, with 2 months being the ideal sweet-spot. Thanks for reading!
