As a person who loves to travel (I am from New Zealand), I totally understand the importance of having someone to look after your home and your pets while you are away.
I love animals. I believe pets are much happier remaining in their own environment as opposed to being re-located to a cattery or kennel when the humans have to be away for any reason.
Having a house sitter is the perfect solution as it allows the pets to remain settled and live with their regular routines.
Knowing that your property is safe and that your pets are well cared for in your absence is very reassuring. I will make a commitment to looking after your home and pets as if they were my own.
I have references to support the fact that I am an extremely honest, reliable, responsible, and professional woman. I teach part-time in a local high school and I am also involved in a variety of community groups and organisations. I can provide supporting references from satisfied customers I have house sat for or whose pets I have looked after here in New Zealand.

Alana did a great job looking for a week after my cat Josie in October 2023. She is a very friendly and pragmatic sitter and kept in contact with me before, during and after the sit. Josie looked very happy and relaxed upon return, and the house was clean and tidy. I could not have wished for a better sitter for Josie, thank you so much!!!

Alana looked after our cat Charlie for 5 days recently. We spoke on the phone before confirming the sit, which was very reassuring. She also arrived the day before we left which gave us a chance to get to know each other better. She kept in touch while we were away and we came home to a clean house and a happy cat! I couldn’t have asked for a better housesitter and highly recommend Alana to anyone looking for a kind, friendly and reliable person to look after their house and pets!

Alana spent 4 days here caring for Keeva and my home. I cannot fault her attention to detail or her ability to lovingly care for my little dog. She even did some chewed toy sewing and mending, deadheaded flowers and arranged fresh ones for the house. I would highly recommend.
