We are a homeschooling family spending our winters abroad gaining foreign, cultural experiences and our summers back in England for the Cricket season!
Our children adore animals and have adopted many a stray during our travels, be it cat, parrot or iguana! They are excellent with nervous animals and have respect for their emotional as well as physical needs.
The older ones enjoy horseriding and have good grooming knowledge. All the children regularly helped their cousins care for their rabbits and budgies and their aunt with her golden retrievers. Cats though, are their true obsession! They have devoured encyclopedias on them and befriend them wherever we go. Even the most nervous stray (Bianca pictured) chooses to be close to our family. The children are desperate to have the opportunity to care for any animals they can during our summer stay.
'Many hands make light work!' Domestic skills are another aspect of our home education which is included in the daily routine. The children have been taught the skills to manage their living space well and to work in a calm and quiet manner. We try to employ the Konmari method of organisation with some minimalist principles, so although our family is relatively large, we are comfortable and enjoy peace even in smaller spaces.
As a family, when we are not studying or working online at home, we love being outdoors, gaining new experiences by exploring local villages and towns, going on walks in the beautiful English countryside or visiting local beaches.
In general we have a lot of fun caring for each other and we would love to share that fun and care with your beloved pets too!
