Hiya I'm Mia, I also go by Naomi - I'm a 34yo theatre maker, artist, and events manager based in Bristol, but working all over the UK.
I have taken on remote projects this year which are countrywide, so I'm looking for housesits all over UK to hopefully co-incide with site visits.

I'm really lucky to have a flexible work life which allows me to travel and I really do make the most of it. I've house-sitted since 2022 with my husband, Ben. We have around 10 positive reviews on housesits we've done together, along with lots of solo reviews on my airbnb profile, both links available on request as I can't post them here.

Unfortunately our home in Bristol isn't suitable for free-roaming friends, so I really cherish the opportunity to look after peoples pets. I've always had rescue dogs growing up so am very in-tune with nervous or high emotional needs animals. I keep two small rodents (degus) and have experience looking after horses, reptiles, cats, kittens, puppies...basically any house pet!

I really enjoy homely things like cooking, drawing, reading, writing and plotting my next trip. I consider myself politically active and spend time campaigning for issues that I believe are important.
I like to keep active by hiking, yoga and canoeing. If I'm in a city I like to explore local comedy, theatre and performance as I work in these fields, and it doesn't finish too late! I also really like cinema and attending lectures and talks on all sorts of topics

I love caring for animals, I've been around them all my life and have pets of my own at home - I have a special soft spot of dogs but I must say there's few things better than winning cats round!

When I'm travelling I love to see as many wild animals as I can and am really interested in conservation efforts.

I've found locating myself within a housesit whilst I'm travelling gives me a much more authentic experience of the places I'm visiting - I feel much more connected to my surroundings and I think the exchange of housesitting is a really beautiful thing and I make sure act very conscientiously.
