I'm non smoking and non drinking, and have a recent DBS document.
I will shortly be undertaking Dog First Aid Workshop from Guide Dogs and will be insured appropriately for the care of your home and pets.
I've previously been mum to a Labrador, 4 German Shepherds and a Rottweiler, plus birds, fish, tortoises, rabbits and cats. All my dogs were rescues, and my Bengal was "second-hand"!
I know pets' body language associated with sadness, nervousness and affection, and respond appropriately to keep animals happy in their comfort zone. You will receive regular updates during the sit, according to your wishes.
I will respect your home as I would my own, and maintain it. It will be clean on your return. If you need a kitchen 'spring clean' I will do this for an extra charge

With your permission, I will happily take your dogs in my car as long as they enjoy this. It is a Volvo estate with a blanket and a safety screen.
I almost always sit on my own, but if I want anyone to do the sit with me, or even visit your home for the day, I WILL ALWAYS ASK FIRST.
Most of us can provide a DBS document.
I can administer medicines in oral, topical or subcutaneous preparations.
I live in Nottingham NG8 and am free to travel.
I do house sitting for the love of animals (not tourism on the cheap!) and my pension is not great. Therefore I would like my travelling expenses paid and will attempt to calculate cost of car journeys in advance of confirming, generally 35p/mile.
If doing a train journey, I use a Senior Rail Card and split ticketing when appropriate to lower the cost.
For all sits booked after 15th January 2025 I charge a daily rate of £10 in addition. This will increase once I am certified in First Aid of animals, and insured.

Marie-Josephe was an excellent house and pet sitter, doing all and more than expected. Marie-Josephe looked after Lola and the house extremely well and took a number of initiatives which were much appreciated. All in all first rate.
Marie is fantastic! She is genuine and reliable and just a really great person. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will absolutely be having her stay with Bridget and Bella again. It’s great to feel free to travel and know that your pet and your home are well cared for. My dog loves everybody, but she really took a shine to Marie, probably because of her calm and kind manner with her.
This was the second time Marie-Josèphe came to look after Jonas, who greeted her with great enthusiasm, remembering the lovely care Marie-Josèphe had given him only three months earlier on her first housesit. He enjoyed going for long walks and all the attention Marie-Josèphe is giving him. The house was in perfect order, even the bedding was already washed. Thank you again for being a wonderful housesitter.
Marie-Josephe arrived in good time on the day we were going away. We had regular communication & photo's of our boys throughout the week. We came home to two tired & happy dogs, our home was well looked after & Marie-Josephe had even left us some home made bread. We would definitely recommend her & welcome her back if she wanted another trip to Frome.
Marie-Josèphe is a wonderful, very considerate sitter. She took excellent care of my dog, Oscar, who can be a bit demanding.

The dogs absolutely adored Marie-Josephe and were very disappointed when we returned home. We were kept up to date with all of their activities throughout the sit. Marie josephe is a very warm,thoughtful,friendly lady. We felt very comfortable leaving Enzo with her & he & our home were very very well looked after . We will hopefully use Marie josephe again & we would highly recommend her as your pet is in very competent caring hands
Marie-Josèphe arrived the night before, as I had to leave very early the following morning. I could see how relaxed she was with my dog Jonas and he appreciated her attention straight away. I was totally at ease to leave Marie-Josèphe to look after Jonas and the house. While I was away, I received some lovely photos and even some tips about Jonas' eating habits. Marie was a brilliant sitter! She kept in touch when I needed her to and left the house really clean and tidy and the cats seemed really content on my return! 😊
We had initially met about a week before and chatted for a good couple of hours. Marie is really friendly and genuine and open cannot compliment enough. Marie told me about her love of dog sitting as well.

Marie and her daughter and dog arrived on time and quickly blended in to our country lifestyle.

Marie-Josephe looked after my car Milo for 2 nights in June 2024 in London. We haven't met in person but we did an online session and also shared infor by email and through messages. Everything went well. She left the house tidy, clean. I would definitely recommend her as a house sitter. Very lovely person.
What a fabulous sitter Marie-Josephe is! So accomodating, she went above and beyond what was expected. A great communicator and so helpful. She was fabulous with Meg who I can tell adored her. She left the place immaculate. And I must add a HUGE thank you to Barry for taxiing me around because of the train strikes! So kind!
I would most definitely highly recommend MJ as a housesitter and welcome her back anytime.
