Green garden!
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.

Hi. We are a retired couple. Originally from Scotland and the North of England, we emigrated to New Zealand 40 years ago.
We return to visit our families from time to time, and they visit us. They are getting too old to enjoy having visitors for weeks at a time. So we thought we would try house sitting this time, and hopefully meet some delightful canine companions.
We have had dogs all our lives, and since we were married we have had 12 dogs and 3 cats. Our last two dogs have died this year, one from cancer, the other from a stroke. We can stay in the UK for longer this summer.
We often care for our friends' dogs when they are on holiday, and we are happy for you to contact them as referees.
We fostered SPCA dogs for many years, though not in the past few years, as we have had three dogs of our own. All of our SPCA dogs found good homes, and we have kept in contact with many of the adopting families. We will be happy for you to contact the adopting families, or our local SPCA in Napier.
As an interest, I have studied Canine Behaviour, and have a Diploma in Canine Behaviour from Massey University, New Zealand.
We would prefer a longer home-and-dog-sitting position of one to three months, preferably somewhere in the Central Belt of Scotland, but anywhere would be considered.
That would allow us to form a bond with your dog or dogs. It would also allow us to visit our family and friends in and around Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Thank you
Ginny and Barry Suckling
PS Our photographs were taken 10 years ago. We look 10 years older now, but our dogs are just as young, energetic and beautiful in our hearts.
