Hi my name is John. I was brought up on a farm so have experience of looking after all kinds of animals with my favourites being dogs and horses.
I am a quiet and committed house sitter and always put the animals needs before my own. I am reliable and look after ones house as if its my own.
Please be aware that due to rising fuel costs I do ask for a donation towards diesel costs.
UPDATE RE MY MOBILITY JUNE 2024- I have had my operation and now im off my crutches walking without them and coping well.
John arrived the day before we left so we were able to hand over comfortably .He was very friendly and obviously used to being in a strange house asking questions we had not thought to write down! This gave us great confidence leaving our home and dog. Freida seemed really calm and contented on our return . Good communication and photos daily. Returned to a clean and tidy home and towels and bedding laundered. Such a relief to return to a happy dog and tidy home! Thank you so much John - much appreciated.

He supplied us with a information pack which we found useful as it had feed instructions for the animals, contact numbers, and places to visit I would thoroughly recommend this sit to anyone. W e thoroughly enjoyed looking after the animals. Both dogs and cats were easy to look after and a great welcome of a morning.

John kept in touch before and during the sit, and we could definitely tell that the cats were very pleased with our choice of sitter!
He arrived a day ahead and so we were able to do a good handover which really helped, particularly with our rescue dog who can be a bit wary of strangers, although took to John straight away!!

John was very patient with our oldest dog Sonny, (14 yr old lab) who had lots of ‘accidents’ (was incontinent) while we were away. We really appreciated that John didn’t complain & cleared up after him. All the dogs accepted John quickly & he was loving & kind to them all. Even Mozart the cat came for cuddles! We were in daily contact with John & he sent us lots of WhatsApps. Many thanks John for loving Sonny, Benji, Freddie & Mozart for us so we could have a week away with our family.
John was a very polite and obliging sitter. He kept us up to date on Whatsapp with news and photos and videos. The house was in good order when we returned and all the washing had been done, and the dogs were happy.
John was very reliable and we had very good communication throughout with him, he came the day before we left to meet our dog and get used to our house which made us feel at ease straight away. John does have some mobility issues which we worked around, our dog and fish were looked after by John and we definitely felt at ease with John in our home and our dog was happy and content at home with him.
John came to stay at our bungalow and to look after our two dogs and the cat. He arrived promptly the day before we want away to familiarise him with everything and kindly stayed an extra day as I posted the end a day early!
The two dogs seemed to take to him really quickly, and I believe he enjoyed his week here.
John was a really good sitter and are hoping he will be able to come back later this year!

This is the first time I had used the site or anything like it. John was very responsive from the start, and kindly explained how the system all worked. He had another commitment come up but he managed to move it so he could do the sit for us which is so appreciated. Nancy seemed very happy and well looked after which is all I could have asked for. Being able to relax knowing your pet is truly being cared for is so reassuring. Thankyou John.

It was very obvious from the moment John and Pam arrived that our dogs were going to be very happy with them.
Communication was good all the way through.
Arrived home to an I immaculate house and a lovely stew ready for us.
A really nice couple perfect for dogs that don’t need too much excercise.
John and Pamela left a clean house, a happy cat, and a slow cooker bubbling with stew - very thoughtful.
I would recommend them for a sit.
The dogs clearly loved having John and Pam over. The cat who rarely enters the lounge was happy to sit on their knee. Happy animals happy parents. Lovely to come home to bunch of flowers and tea made. Highly recommend
John and Pam are lovely people who looked after our house and cat extremely well.
We arrived back to find the house clean and tidy and clean washing hanging on the line in the sun outside.
We also arrived home to a delicious bolognese which we really appreciated and was very thoughtful.

Lovely couple everything great
Cooked a curry for our return home. Our boys ( Maxi and Sami ) were happy on our return .

Communication prior, whilst and after sit was good, both John and Pam arrived exactly when they said they would, lovely and friendly, chase took to them right away, chickens were fine, coop left clean and fresh with food and Walter, our house was left clean and tidy, bed had been striped bedding washed and made for us comming home. There was good communication in the lead up to the sit. John and Pam arrived at the agreed time and looked after Baxter and the house fine and Pam even cooked me a supper to welcome me home
John and Pam were excellent, I noticed Chester really felt comfortable with them before I had left , which was perfect. Pam makes a good curry too , thankyou
John and Pam, very kindly came at short notice, they took good care of my pets and my dogs were sorry to see them go house was nice and clean and everything in good order.

John & Pam helped us out tremendously at short notice as we had been let down by 2 other sitters who had cancelled on us. Our pets were well cared for and seemed quite happy on our return
John and Pam were great sitters for our house and Stanley. House was clean and tidy when we got home and most importantly Stanley was happy. Really friendly and great curry on the hob when we returned after a long day of travelling. Would recommend them to sit for you.

John and Pam were experienced House sitters. Gerry was well cared for and had his meds administered well. The house was nice and clean on our return and a smashing hot pot left in the slow cooker. Pam left me the books she ploughed through and I'll enjoy reading those! . I would not hesitate in recommending John and Pam.
they came a day early and made themselves at home and theyate my food aft er saying they would replace did
not, my hardly fed and the , garden was not watered in fact they did very little they left a few items that said my house stinks and is dirty which is not true, they are just out to live off people, I would not recommend them as sitters.I am not two faced and everything I have said is the truth also I might add that they could not wait to leave when we returned. John and Pam are both disabled and require machinery/mobility scooters. They do not state this on their portfolio! On my return, I found them hurrying around with the Hoover, on later inspection, I concurred that the house had not been hovered or dusted, just the basic washing up of utensils had been done. I instructed them not to eat meals in the living room and to use dining table in kitchen for such purposes, snacks were allowed. I noticed dried Bolognese sauce on the living room floor. ... MORE

You couldn't ask for a better couple to look after your house & pets. We arrived back to a couple of very happy pets, a spotless house and lovely pot of Bolognese

John and Pam arrived in good time and took in all we said. We left feeling very confident that everything would be fine, and it was. We kept in touch which was great and when we returned Pam had made a bolognese which was fantastic - could not praise them enough and highly recommend them for housesitting.
