We are both non-smoking recently retired civil servants based in Bristol, very much enjoying the flexibility this brings to fill our time with leisure activities and volunteering locally. We said goodbye to our 20 year old cat last year after ‘owning’ cats for most of our lives. All have lived to a grand age and we miss them dreadfully. We have both volunteered for the local branch of Cats Protection for many years. We also love to travel at home and abroad and have been lucky enough to combine our love of animals with our love of travel on various safaris, including seeing tigers in India and a close encounter with gorillas in Rwanda. We are looking forward to engaging with owners’ pets, treating them as we would our own, whilst helping to provide security during their absence. We know from our own experience how worrying it can be to have to leave your beloved pet.

Mike and Helen have many years experience of looking after their own cats. As soon as I saw their profile, I knew they would make perfect catsitters for our cat Rosa. Their communication is excellent and we returned to a very contented kitty and an extremely tidy and clean house. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and Helen to anyone looking for a house/pet sitter. A really lovely couple. Thanks again.

Helen and Michael looked after our 4 cats and 2 dogs from the 10th to 25th September. They kept us up to date as to how they were all doing, allowing us to have a worry free holiday. When one of the dogs injured her leg, Helen went with the dog walker to the vet and then administered her pain relief until we returned. Helen and Mike were excellent cat sitters. At short notice I asked if they could sit for an extra night and they were very flexible and agreed to do this. This was our first time using house-sitters so were a little nervous. However, we needn’t have been as they looked after our 3 cats perfectly, even managing to convince the 2 who needed medication to take their tablets. We returned to a beautifully clean and tidy house. I would definitively invite them again.
