Hi, I’m Jo. My husband Ian and I are semi retired professionals, who are looking to do some house sitting jobs.
We have 5 grown (and happily, flown the nest) children and 4 grandkids (so far). Over the years we’ve had many loved pets, dogs/cats/fish/lizards/rabbits/chickens etc.
I’m a keen gardener, love to cook, into upcycling, diy and sewing etc. Ian is very handy, he keeps everything running and tolerates my diy requests. His passions are silversmithing and golf. We enjoy walking, swimming and the outdoors.
We’ve both been involved with many clubs, schools and charities over the years supporting our local community and helping raise funds through event organisation etc.
We are a quiet, responsible and respectable couple who would treat your home and pets as we would wish ours to be treated.
We have recently returned from a trip to Australia where we undertook a number of house sits as we travelled around the country. We enjoyed, so thought we’d make the most of the next few months doing the same in the UK.

Joanne and Ian arrived on time and were delightful to meet with some really interesting stories to tell.
The house was kept clean and tidy and Joanne even washed the bedclothes and towels before leaving.
Whiskey was very calm when we returned.
I would have no problem with asking Joanne and Ian to cat sit again if they were available.
Joanne and Ian were the perfect house-sitters. We sincerely hope that they will sit for us in the future when we are away on holiday, if it is convenient for them. The house and garden were perfect, they even oversaw the ordering and fitting of a new washing machine when ours stopped working mid-sit. Joanne was very good at communicating with us when we were away, this was very reassuring for us. They were very flexible because our return date was not fixed and they adapted perfectly.
This is my first time hiring house sitters and I am so grateful for the help in looking after Merlin the cat 😺!
I'm still away and have not been home, but my friend informed me that Joanna and her husband left the house in immaculate condition and everything ready for the next house sitter. Communication was easy, they knew what they were doing and I could concentrate on the journey.
I feel blessed that my first experience was with such reliable and trustworthy people!

Jo and Ian kindly looked after our aging Labrador, our bouncy Retriever, our cat and our house while we had ten days away. The animals obviously all had a good time and were well looked after. They kindly watered the plants, and the house was clean, tidy and in very good order when we returned, and they kept in touch while we were away so we could see that all was well. We would recommend them highly, and happily ask them to sit again in the future.
Jo and Ian were amazing house sitters. They were great at communication before and during the stay. Connie was very well looked after and loved her time with them. The house was immaculate when we returned. Thank you so much!
Jo and Ian looked after our cat, house and garden while we were on holiday with our dog Poppy . Communicating with Jo was very easy and I felt very happy having them to house sit despite not being able to meet them in person.
