We are Angel and Tom, a creative entrepreneur couple from the UK. We run our own design and illustration business, which takes us all over the world. We’re lucky to be able to work remotely, and we’ve leaned into this so we can spend more time travelling, enjoying the great outdoors and hanging out with awesome animals.
To dive a little further into our story, last year we moved out of our home in York to go and live in New Zealand for eight months, which is the third time we’ve spent a long time in NZ. It’s here we discovered housesitting (using Kiwi House Sitters, which luckily links reviews on this site.)
We’re back in the UK now for the winter and spring, working on a big new design project. We want to continue seeing new places, and love the abundance of amazing places to see in the UK, and feel so inspired living in different places across the country. We are also exploring where we might want to put roots down, saving to buy a plot of land to build our home, perhaps from scratch (or renovate something old and exciting), and have our own animals. House-sitting is proving to be a wonderful way for us to learn from inspiring people and their homes, and enjoy hanging out with (and also learning from) their beautiful pets.
We LOVE animals and are experienced in looking after cats, dogs, smaller pets like fish, and farm animals, including goats, chickens, geese and ducks. Both of us are very active so we'll happily walk dogs multiple times a day, and bring them on adventures if that’s something you’d like. There’s nothing we love more than a snuggle in the evening too. We also have a lot of experience gardening and caring for plants, so we're happy to help out in your garden. It’s worth mentioning we do have experience looking after horses, but we'd need to learn more about specific needs before arranging the sit.
In case you’d like to learn more about our hobbies, we love cooking, hiking, camping, wild swimming, and practising yoga (Angel is also a yoga teacher). We spend a lot of time drawing and painting, outside of our professional work too. We're also massive coffee snobs and love reading.
We have a car. Are both non-smokers.

They were very diligent in the tasks that we asked of them, kept our home and polytunnel in good heart and cared really well for our collie - I suspect she misses them enormously now they have left - as do we. We very much hope to see them again and would highly recommend them as house sitters.

Angel and Tom were amazing house-sitters. They stayed for a couple of nights which gave us a chance to get to know them and them an opportunity to meet our horse and dog and learn about their day to day care. They were very conscientious and observant carers of our animals and house. We would definitely like to welcome Angel and Tom to look after our animals and home again and would highly recommend them as house-sitters.

Angel and Tom were lovely and genuine people. Took great care of our 3 dogs whose ages ranged from 18 months to over 14 years - and they considered this and met each dogs needs. On our return the dogs had obviously been cared for very well. The house was clean and tidy and I would have no hesitation in recommending them and I hope they can sit for us again next year. Thank you Angel and Tom and we all wish you every success for your future……

Angel and Tom were excellent house sitters. .Their communication was very good both before and during the sit sending me some lovely photos of our dog Rose. They gave Rose a lot of love and attention and took her on walks. it was very clear that Rose was very happy and relaxed with both of them. The house was very clean and tidy when we returned and they had even washed the sheets. I can recommend Angel and Tom to other house sitters and will definitely use them again if they are available
Angel and Tom are great to have as house, garden and pet sitters. They looked after our two cats really well and we had regular photo updates and we could tell by the cats smiles they were happy. Tom and Angel also looked after our large garden and veg patch and kept all my pots watered so they still look amazing on our return.

Absolutely brilliant, communicative, caring house sitters. Straight forward communication beforehand, evidenced real care for the house and our dog. They kept us updated while we were away too. Everything was very well looked after and we had a very happy pooch!

Angel and Tom were the best people to house sit for us on our recent trip to Australia. They looked after our dog so well and it was great he was able to stay home in his own environment. He had lots of walks with them which he loves. The communication from Tom and Angel while we were away was great. Even sending us photos of Milo out and about. We couldn’t thank them more.
