Hello! After living abroad for many years, I discovered that house sitting is a great way to combine my love of animals with the opportunity to visit new places in the UK, where I now live.
Over the years I've had experience of a variety of pets of my own (dogs, cats and mice) and enjoy helping out family and friends with theirs. And since being back in the UK I've been a member of BorrowMyDoggy to be able to indulge my pleasure in having a dog to walk, such a joyful part of my life.
I know that having to leave much loved pets, even in their own home, is always a worry. But when you have to, I'd be happy to step in to take care of them and provide the attention and cuddles they would need in your absence.
I'm retired but very active. As well as doing a lot of walking, I enjoy gardening, so would be happy to take care of any plants. And I help out at a local charity kitchen, and have recently taken up jogging (very slowly).
It's daunting leaving your home and pets to someone you don't know but I'm trustworthy and reliable and would look after both as if they were my own.

Judy took excellent care of my cat and home. From our first communication it was obvious she was highly competent and kind, and she kept me informed through the sit. Roger was happy and obviously well taken care of when I returned and the flat was spotless. I highly recommend Judy!
Wow Judy was the perfect person to house sit Keeva. I came home to an immaculately looked after house and a very happy little dog. I especially loved that they both enjoyed each others company.
Judy was an absolute pleasure to meet. Right from the start she communicated well, and was flexible with times and dates so I could figure out my plans without pressure. Upon meeting Judy I found her to be a calm presence, who clearly loves dogs. She kept me informed throughout her stay, sending photos each day of our beloved Poppy. She also left the house immaculate. Would highly recommend her to others and would happily welcome her back. Thank you so much Judy!
Judy was the perfect sitter- clear communication before and during the sit, left the cottage spotlessly clean, but most importantly was clearly very loving and attentive to Moja, my very old Labrador. You know instantly when someone connects with your dog and it was obvious that Moja and Judy were a perfect fit! I recommend Judy unreservedly to other hosts.
Judy was a wonderful house sitter for teddy and George when I went away for a couple of days. Its always a bit nerve racking leaving your house with someone new but Judy made the process really smooth and communicated throughout the stay so felt content that the boys and my house were in good hands. The house was tidy and clean when I got returned which I was very grateful for and milk in the fridge. Would be very happy to have Judy sit again. Highly recommend her.
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
