Hello! We're Isla and Chris, adventuring around the UK in our free time, meeting the land, the animals and people as we go.
🧑🎨 I'm Isla, I work remotely as a marketer and writer as we travel around the UK. I have a deep fondness for animals and enjoy their company. I have experience working in pet shops, grooming and looking after pets, as well as all the pet sitting adventures I've done with Chris through housesitters and in our local area.
🧑⚕️ I'm Chris, a GP and writer, currently working on my first book! I wanted to be a vet before I went to medical school, so I've always had a connection with animals. Before coming on to housesitters, I had cats and fish growing up (and a blackbird I rescued as a child!). I also spent time on a farm in the Cotswolds to help during lambing season, which was really meaningful to be a part of.
🍃 We live a quiet, sober lifestyle and have a vegetarian/vegan diet but we're comfortable to feed your pets whatever nutrition they need.
🐈⬛ We've been on housesitters for a few years now and have loved the cheeky animals, friendly people and places we've met along the way...
🏠 We're open to sit requests for 2024! We do sits as a couple and as individuals so we're open to requests regarding this.

Isla did a fantastic job looking after our house and dog Milou. Her communication was excellent throughout and we could tell Milou had a wonderful time with her. The house was left sparkling clean on return! :) We would definitely have Isla housesit again if the opportunity arose!
Isla was a fantastic house sitter and really looked after our cat beautifully. She sent lots of updates and reassured us that all was well (the cat is a big lover of human company so can be anxious when we leave her).
Isla also left the house spotless after her stay and was a pleasure to communicate with both before and during the sit. We had no worries at all while we were away.
Isla is very reassuring and calm and we felt happy leaving our cats with her for 10 days at the end of July. Isla made lots of effort to make sure both we and our cats were comfortable. Communication was great while we were away and we received lovely updates and pictures. We came home to two happy cats and our flat was spotless. We would highly recommend Isla.
Isla came to house sit with our two boy cats Socks and Louie. Each have very different personalities and lifestyles (one indoor kitten, one adult outdoor) which Isla handled really well, with ease and both cats grew very fond of her during her stay. Chris was a great sitter. He replied to messages promptly and was very flexible with arrival and departure times. He took wonderful care of our cat, Tommy, and sent us daily updates - this was much appreciated! We returned to a clean and tidy flat. Thank you!
Isla was a fabulous sitter. Communication was easy from the start and she was keen to meet virtually and familiarise herself with my needs.
Pets appeared well looked after on our return and that's the most important bit for me, really, so top marks.
I'd happily recommend Isla for any sit. She is relaxed, experienced and builds confidence and trust early on. I would welcome her back to sit again if she so chooses.
Chris and Isla were exceptional housesitters. They looked after the house and animals so well. They left our house immaculately and we would be delighted to have them back. I can't recommend them enough. The animals were cared for and loved. They are genuine animal lovers! The kitchen was spotless and there were even flowers and some hand painted stones for us on our return.
Reassuring house sitter - felt very comfortable leaving the animals with him and his partner.
Chris and Isla actually moved house a few days before the arranged sit, and they still honoured the arrangement we had made, for which we were very grateful. They could easily have backed out or asked us to at least try and get replacement sitters, but they went ahead even though it wasn't ideal for them. There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
