I (Alice) started house sitting in summer off 22 with my daughter Lola (11). We have done 4 since then and my partner and his 2 daughters (3 and 8) have joined us on the last 2.
We have experience of looking after dogs (including a German shepherd, boxer and springer), a horse, cats, sheep, chickens and ducks). We cannot guarantee your pets will not miss you but they will certainly not be bored or lonely while you are away.
We are outdoorsy people who love nothing more than taking a dog walk on the beach. We pride ourselves on always being respectful to people’s homes and are always very grateful for the opportunity to get away and spend some time together exploring different parts of our beautiful country.
We are available all school holidays and have 2 cars, one being a 4x4 and are willing and able to travel from our home in Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
We do not have our own pets because of work commitments during term time but I have done local goodwill dog waking and sitting for a number of years through the borrowmydoggie website.

Alice and Carl (and their girls!) were great house sitters, They were very communicative, they took care of our cat Millie really well and the house was spotless when we got home. We would definitely recommend them as house sitters!
Alice, her partner and 3 children all came and looked after our dog, cat and horse over the New Year.
Communication with Alice was great and when meeting them all, they were all lovely, warm and friendly and I felt very happy leaving the house and animals in their hands.
I was sent a daily update with pictures of how the animals were, the dog was very happy as she was taken out to the beach several times and walked in our local woods.

Wow! Alice and her daughter Lola were amazing. Our house was immaculate when we returned. Most important they gave our Boxer, Harvey, a fantastic time with many walks and trips to the beach. We received regular updates, videos and photos. We couldn’t be happier.
We invited Alice and Lola to stay the night before so that we could show them around the animals as we fed them in the morning and explain the various aspects of the house. They were very friendly and made it exceptionally easy to leave our home and animals in their care. They looked after everything beautifully and our home was spotless when we returned. Thank you for caring as much about our home as you do your own. Bobby was grateful for his walks despite the pouring rain.
Alice and her daughter came to look after our cat, dog (Springer spaniel), runner ducks and chickens for a week in August. Communication was excellent, ahead of the sit and had regular videos and pictures of the dog enjoying beach walks. House was beautifully clean on our return and everything in order. I would happily have Alice housesit again!
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
