Hi! My name is Richie and I'm a non-drinking, non-smoking teacher from Ireland, now living in London. I teach remotely so I'm super flexible. I just love the company of animals and meeting new people so, while I don't have pets of my own right now, I love using this opportunity and platform to help people who need to leave their beloved pets in the care of someone who really wants to be there with them.

I've been blessed enough to have had a variety of pets in my life from a very early age and I loved all of them dearly - from hamsters to cats to dogs! I have been looking after animals of all kinds, however - including ducks, goats, sheep and chickens - for over 6 years now on a variety of similar platforms, both on a short-stay and long-term basis.

I've had recurring hosts on a number of platforms, the most recent of which has two beautiful chocolate labradors and a cheeky cat full of character called Charlie. The twin labs were instantly super familiar with me and I with them along with their sleeping, feeding, exercise and medication routines. It was my attention to detail and bond with the girls and their feline brother that had me asked back on several occasions.

My last house sit before joining this platform was for 3 weeks with an 8-month old husky, a 9-year-old German shepherd, and their feline friend, Echo. They were all so adorable and affectionate and the perfect reminder of why I love doing this so much!

I once spent 4 whole months in the south of Spain looking after three dogs, two cats, 3 ducks and 12 chickens for a wonderful couple from Dorset! This was the most remote house sit I've ever done and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've looked after pets in all kinds of settings, both rural and urban. I work remotely so I am flexible and I drive, so I can be available at the last minute.

I'm available any time to discuss all of your pets needs by phone or Zoom or by whatever means suits best. Be assured that my priority is always the comfort and welfare of the animals in their owners' absence, and I go out of my way to treat them as my own. I am someone who pays real attention to details, so any particulars around sleep patterns, diets, eating times, methods, toys, dos and dont's, medication etc. will be handled with the utmost of care.

I mostly do sits by myself but sometimes my partner, Elinor, joins me (when required/requested/appropriate). She absolutely adores animals of all kinds having grown up in rural Yorkshire with a horse-obsessed mum and having pets of all kinds her whole life.
