I'm a live in ( Cornwall near Plymouth) very part time housekeeper, dbs checked, used to all size of houses, and care of owners pets has always been the best a part of my job.
I have 24 years of experience looking after large country houses.
Nic is also the handyman here.

Nic has had dogs and cats all his life, and was involved in greyhound rescue and re homing for a number of years.
I have had housekeeper jobs that also involved care of retired pony's and donkeys, and chooks,so am familiar with their care too.
With this current live in job, no pets are allowed, so we enjoy some dog cat/ Chicken, home sitting in the south west.
We charge £35 a day for pet sitting, for 1 dog, £45 for 2 or more, and £20 per day for cat sitting. But if it's a whole menagerie animals it's £45 a day.
I am an experienced gardener, RHS qualified and did one day a week as a volunteer gardener at the national trust Hidcote Gardens, for four years. So very happy to take on garden care while pet sitting

Though we have yet to cat sit through this site, the local cat owner, who uses us, is very happy to be contacted re our care of her cat on 7 occasions over the past 18 months.
Rural quiet locations, in Devon and Cornwall is our preferred pet sits.

Communication with Nikki was great! She kept us up to speed with her movements & kept us informed throughout the sit. The house was in good order on our return & the animals were better trained than when we left 🤣 (Herman hadn’t slept on the bed)👍, so we were very impressed!! We felt relaxed knowing Nikki was in our home taking such great care of everyone & everything, so much so we immediately asked her to sit for us again & her booked her for a third time in December! Nikki was a lovely sitter who kept in constant communication throughout the stay. She was incredibly helpful and stayed extra days when an emergency came up.

Nikki and Nic were wonderful house sitters and we felt relaxed immediately after meeting them. Nikki was incredible, she made us chocolate and left a sourdough starter and a pint of milk in our fridge for our return which just shows what thoughtful and caring people they are. The dogs seemed immediately at ease with them and the house was immaculate on our return. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services and we hope they will be able to come back again in the future.

Great success! Nik and Nic visited us a few days before the sit to meet the dogs. All went very well! We did appreciate that as our dogs are big and could be off putting to some people. N&N were flexible with their sitting times, just incase we got stuck in traffic etc. Luckily we had a good journey home. We had updates throughout our time away which was very reassuring. Nikki was an excellent house and dog sitter Nikki took great care of our house and our dog who got many walks and much fuss. She gave us great confidence that there would be no issues whilst we were away which made leaving our dog with her much easier. She kept us updated on what was happening at home and we returned to a home in great shape and a happy dog. Thanks for the delicious home made marmalade too. Overall what could be better? We look forward to using Nikki again.

Nikki and Nic are absolutely wonderful sitters, a fantastic couple, who looked after our two large dogs and home superbly. The dogs are lively and can be a handful but they managed them so well, and we were completely confident they were in the best care while we were away. Our house was immaculate when we came home. They brought their own linens so there was no additional washing to be done, and even left a lovely bunch of flowers to welcome us back. We highly recommend them as House sitters ... MORE

Leaving Ruby our recently adopted whippet cross was never going to be easy, but I need not have been worried Nikki and Nick looked after her so well, We we're kept updated on their activities and all communication was very good. Came home to a very happy hound a clean home and the washing done. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Nikki was excellent at keeping us informed at every stage. She was happy to visit us before housesitting our Yorkshire Terrier, Lily. Our dog is partially blind so was happier staying at home where she knows her surroundings. Nikki arrived early for the house sit and did an excellent job at looking after our dog and home. We would happily recommend her to any future home owners.
