Hi I am a newly retired Psychologist and Teacher, and I am looking for my next adventure. I have travelled extensively abroad, but there is so much of the UK that I don't know and I thought that this would be a way of seeing new areas and also getting my fix of furry companions.
I have had a variety of pets throughout my life, everything from fish to rabbits and guinea pigs, cats and dogs to chickens and most of them were rescues. My last 2 cats came as a pair of cuties, and I quickly realised that their strong bond was because one of them was partially sighted. and the other one was her "guide cat". Molly was devastated when her guide died from cancer, as was I, but she gradually decided that I would make an adequate second best choice !
I have a 6 year old granddaughter who may join me for a weekend visit hence the reason I have said that I am looking for family friendly positions. She has 2 cats of her own and is therefore used to having a caring attitude towards animals. But most of the time it will just be myself visiting your home. I look forward to meeting many new people and your lovely pets.
