Hello.

We are Don and Sara, a retired (from IT jobs) couple living on the south coast of Hampshire.

We retired about four years ago. During this time our little poodle became less mobile and more home-loving so our trips away became rarer and rarer. Sadly, Rudy is no longer with us and it's much too soon for us to consider another pet. We've therefore decided that house sitting would be ideal for us - we get to visit different parts of the country and we also get to enjoy the company of pets whilst we are away. Lovely!

Before Rudy we used to have a cat (Oscar, named before Oscar became a trendy pet name!) so we know all about caring for both cats and dogs. In fact, we have both lived with cats and dogs all our lives.

We are outdoors people during the day and love taking dogs for country walks. We don't tend to go out much during the evening so this will be prime time for playing with cats, if they manage to wake up!

We will arrive by car and will be happy to help with lifts to stations, airports etc. We both have full, clean driving licenses.

We do not smoke and we only drink when we go out.

We couldn’t have asked for better sitters! Don and Sara are kind and considerate people and we found everything very straightforward. Arranging the sit was very easy and Don and Sara were very flexible about timings. We were confident they’d take good care of our cat and he clearly had a wonderful time with Don and Sara! Don & Sara were absolutely brilliant house-sitters - I couldn't have asked for better!! Not only did they take great care of my dog and the house, but they were extremely understanding when I found out my flight had been cancelled and I couldn't get another flight for 4 days!! They made a difficult and stressful situation that much easier by accepting the change to our arrangements without any problems, as well as offering me a lift both to and from the train station - which I really ... Don and Sarah were wonderful sitters during the two weeks I was away in the USA. They sent regular daily updates about their walks and time with Lulu which was very reassuring while I was away. Lulu obviously loved being around them and she was cared for beautifully. I would have no hesitation in asking them to sit for me again and would highly recommend them to anyone considering asking them to sit.

We have had the most wonderful first experience with House Sitters and can't praise Don and Sara enough. They sent us regular messages which were not only reassuring but very funny and showed us quite clearly how well they had got to know our dog and 2 cats. Don and Sara sar for 7 nights for us May 2024 and arrived without us meeting them. We spoke on the phone initially on a video call and later on WhatsApp-all was good. Don is an excellent communicator which is important to us (Don leads on sit info). From what Don tells us, the cats didn't miss us at all, the house was as we left it, also important to us that we deliver a clean/tidy house and we get one back, we did! Would not hesitate to recommend D&S again or have them back for a repeat ... MORE

Really friendly and brilliant housesitters. They sent us regular updates that kept us reassured everything was okay with the house and pets. They were clearly engaged with the process, asking us questions when appropriate, and also helpfully dealing with some unexpected deliveries at the house. Most importantly though they clearly loved animals, took care of the house and left us feeling very happy that things were in safe hands.

Absolutely top drawer. Very caring and empathetic. We knew as soon as we met them both that Dexter was in very good hands. They left the house in an immaculate condition. They'd fed the birds, stripped the bed, washed the linen and towels. They were wonderful and we would definitely like to get them in again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Don and Sara are a delightful couple who could not be faulted at all. They were amusing in their updates and I had not the slightest worry. I am not sure that the dogs even missed me at all. I would be more than happy to have them again - I really could not wish for better.
