I grew up in the Lake District with an energetic border collie and a lovely-but-eccentric house cat. So pets were always a big part of my life. I currently live in Cumbria without any pets, but regularly cat-sit for friends.

I'm a keen walker and love having a dog as a companion. In the evenings I like to curl up with a book or a film, and welcome the company of a cat in my lap. I've recently discovered the joy of house plants and learning how to care for them.

I work in the non-profit sector, based from home but travelling regularly.
