Thank you for considering me as your housesitter.

I have 8 years experience of house and pet sitting, across the UK, while embracing my inner 'digital nomad'. I enjoy the lifestyle of housesitting, and I've been fortunate to spend time in some beautiful locations, forming some great friendships along the way (and bond with some super special cats and dogs too!)

I work as a freelance strategic consultant, specialising in voluntary sector and SME business development support; while also reviving a creative writing and visual arts practice. A calm, thoughtful, creative mind, I'm passionate about everything nature and wellness oriented; spanning movement, gong fu tea, making music, meditation, philosophy, poetry, sustainable living, and much more.

I've recently returned to 'HouseSitters UK'. Over the coming months new reviews will be added to my profile. In the meantime I can happily provide references from previous sits, and I'm always happy to jump on a call to chat and feel into whether I'm a good fit to look after your home and animals.

SIT PREFERENCES

I tend to prefer sits upwards of 3 weeks, though I always welcome inquiries for shorter sits; occassionally I can be available at short notice also. Rural locations, close to nature, and those nearer the coast, are also preferred. (NOTE: I'll soon be offering sits internationally via Trusted Housesitters. COMMUNICATION

By accepting the trust you place in me as a sitter, I really value honest and direct communication. Therefore prior to confirming a sit I like to thoroughly discuss and agree both parties expectations and boundaries; its equally important that you are confident and able to enjoy your time away, as it is that I can balance the responsibility you place in me and continuing my work.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

I like providing pet owners with updates and photos, so that you feel reassured and connected with your pet/s while away. In addition I'm always happy to water house plants and small gardens, as part of the sit agreement.

With prior agreement, I can also provide additional services, such as interior painting and decorating, grounds clearance, and pet portrait photography (see examples below), etc. All such work and rates must be agreed no less than 2 weeks in advance of a sit commencing. References for such work are available on request.

CHARGES

I do not charge for house and pet sitting; I see it as a happy, altruistic exchange. If you are happy with my sit however, I do welcome any "tip" you may like to offer.

There are however some exceptions, when charges may apply. Long term sits (over 3 weeks) that are requested with less than 2 weeks notice, may incur a modest daily rate charge, 50% of which is payable in advance.

Occassionally, sits over 3 months in duration may also be subject to an agreed day rate. Such charges may be required because of the potential impact upon current employment arrangements, and the impact a sit may have upon them. Any such rates are bespoke and subject to negotiation.
