68, Retired

Hello - I retired as an NHS nurse in 2017, and became an independent carer for elderly people within their homes. I also looked after a couple of friends dog and house whilst they were away as well as looking after another friends cat whilst she was away. Sadly both of these animals have now passed. I fully retired in October of 2022.

I've always had either a cat or dog or both at the same time, and at another period in my life I had two dogs and four cats, currently I haven't either having lost my 16 year handsome long haired ginger tom a few years ago.

I'm a non smoker, I don't drink alcohol, nor do I eat meat or fish. I have a valid driving licence and a car. I am 68 years old and fit and well. I love walking, knitting, doing crochet, cross-stitching, researching my family history, doing jigsaws, watching TV and reading. I am a Buddhist, hence the unusual forename but am more than happy to answer to my other name of Phyllis.

I adore cats and love watching them play, be inquisitive and sleep, my old boy had long fur so I'm used to grooming if necessary.

I'm more than happy to have cuddles on my knee, and have them sleep with me either in or on the bed.

I'm calm and reliable and will respond to any problems with your home or animals promptly.

I will keep your home clean and tidy. I am more than happy to send daily photo's/updates of your pet.

My cat can be standoffish with anyone but me but Amoghalila won her over. Once I was home she (my cat) seemed happy to see me, but not relieved as she sometimes seemed in the past, so I know that she was more than happy with Amoghalila. Amoghalila also looked after my very shy peacock and he too seemed have had a calm time while I was away. Amoghalila was kind enough to drop something off for me in town while I was away and to rake up leaves as they fell. She kept in touch, and sent photos ... MORE

This is our second sit by Amoghalila and we just love knowing she is here as guardian over our home and garden. She brings a peace and reliability to all she does and we arrived home to an abundant garden and an immaculate house. We have come to know Amoghalila as a friend rather than house sitter and I would recommend her to anyone! She is just wonderful.

Amazing lady ! My nervous cats took to her very quickly. Even sleeping on the bed with her. She sent me updates & pics. When I returned home from my surgery the house was immaculately clean. Cats were happy & chill. It was my first time having a house sitter but I would recommend her in a heartbeat and would welcome her back to house sit ifor me n the future.

Phyllis was a wonderful house and cat sitter. In fact, I think she left the house in a tidier and cleaner state than when I left. She kept me regularly updated with photos and videos of my cat Nelson and got on really well with my neighbours. I could not recommend her more highly as a reliable and trustworthy person to take care of your home and pets. The only downside was that I think my neighbours and Nelson were a little bit sorry to see her leave and me come back!! 😁

This is our first time with a house sitter and we were a little nervous but Amoghalila changed that from the very beginning. We met via zoom initially just to get to know each other and she felt so right, so perfect for our home. She exudes peace which is a blessing for any home and especially for a first-timer. Amoghalila was amazing with our lovely Weimaraner Freeda. She bonded with her so quickly and the two of them had a great time walking the beaches here and visiting dog friendly cafés. She send us photos and messages keeping us up to date. This was really helpful as we had our older dog away with us to visit his brother and were worried Freeda would pine. We didn't need to! I can thoroughly recommenced Amoghalila as a caring dog sitter ❤️
