We are a caring married couple. Non smokers and both drive.
Both my husband Gareth and myself are retired. His last job was part time at a large Country house and estate Near Peterborough as a house sitter/security person where we lived in. I had a nursing career and we also had our own property and maintenance business .We love to travel in the U.K. and abroad and have family in the north and midlands .We are trustworthy both dbs checked and reliable, with experience of property /garden care, Ideally we only want to care for cats now.
We are experienced cat/house sitters and absolutely love spending time meeting new people, discovering new areas and looking after the cats who are all so different and have their own personalities.
Kathy was a pleasure to have in our home. She did a short trial sit prior to coming in May. Great communication. Extremely friendly. Our cat loved her and made herself at home on her lap within five minutes of us leaving. She looked after our home and garden very well and is a really lovely lady. We would have no hesitation in recommending her for future sits.
Kathy and Gareth were brilliant. They were easy to organise the sit with and communicated well throughout. They clearly are cat people and I felt confident my cat was in safe hands. I came back to a relaxed cat and a spotlessly clean house, Gareth was even kind enough to fix a couple of broke handles. I would very much recommend them and appreciate them taking such good care of my house and cat.
Kathy and Gareth stayed in our house for 2 weeks. We were not able to view the house and garden when they left as they handed over to new housesitters. However the new housesitters commented how clean the house was on handover and that two garden bins of waste were cleared.
We had fantastic communication with them throughout their stay and they sent photos of our two cats. We had an issue with a contractor making an unplanned delivery which Kathy and Gareth thankfully accomodated for us.

Kathleen and Gareth were the perfect house sitters. We met up a few weeks before and they arrived promptly on the day. They are very experienced sitters and we knew they would look after the house and pets. Which they did !!
The house was in immaculate condition upon our return and the garden bedding plants watered.
It is clear Barnsley fell in love with them and we hope they will be able to sit for us again in the future. What more can I say ?
Kathy and Gareth were a pleasure to meet. Great communication from the beginning. They looked after my cat Bertie and my home as if they were their own. They asked how much communication I wanted whilst I was away and it was perfect. The house was immaculate on my return, I just hope they will be happy to return.
Kathy and Gareth sat for us and our two cats for a long weekend in April. They live within a few miles of us so when we were arranging the sit they agreed to come and visit so we could meet each other and talk through our requirements. They made notes about our requirements and the needs of the cats.

This was the first time we used house sitters, and we were suitably impressed. From the outset Kathy & Gareth were helpful and communicative, providing guidance and helpful tips. They arrived on time after a long drive and took time to read the instructions we prepared in advance so the handover process was very smooth. Kath and Gareth were just fab and sat for us for 12 nights over Easter to look after our cat, Charlie.
Communication leading up to the sit was spot on and also whilst we were on holiday, where they sent us daily photos and updates from home.
Both Kath and Gareth had a lovely way with Charlie and Gareth was very determined from the start to make firm friends with him which we appreciated immensely.

We’ve just adopted two ginger boys and it was the first time they’ve had a house sitter. We also have an older girl called Jaffa Cake who’s had house sitter experiences before. We are so glad we had Kathy and Gareth look after the home and our precious babies. They followed all instructions and the home was so clean. Thank you so much from all of us ☺️
We got back on Saturday aftr 9 nights away, Kathy and Gareth were 'new' sitters for us but we felt very comfortable with them and knew the furry 'gang' of 4 cats and the house would be in good hands, we were right.
Due to our flight times, we didn't get chance to meet K&G but we spoke on the phone and messaged via WhatsApp prior to their arrival day. House and garden care was excellent, they mowed our lawn and watered pots. The cats didn't know we had gone and come back, no complaints ... MORE
Kathleen and Gareth looked after our house and 2 cats for 2 weeks. We were delighted with all aspects of the sit. Communication from start to finish was great, they kept us updated with photos and messages and left the house clean and tidy for our return. We came home to well looked after and happy cats.
Wouldn't hesitate to have Kathleen and Gareth come again and would highly recommend to anyone else.

Kathy and Gareth were communicative, friendly, very comfortable with giving medication and managed to keep our bickering cats happy! The house was spotless on return and we could see that the cats had been really well looked after which was great, we got some lovely videos of playtimes and pictures of cuddles. It was a shame that they had to leave a day earlier than agreed for Gareth's work, we would rather the agreement had been kept, but they did sort out that our neighbour would pop in and ... MORE
Kathy came without Gareth on this occasion but helped us out at relatively short notice. Communication was excellent, she happily used our preferred Signal instead of WhatsApp to let us have photos and updates on the cats. Bruce had had to have an operation the day she arrived, but undaunted she took over his medication and we were confident she would cope with a recuperating Siamese.
The house was immaculate when we got back. Thank you so much Kathy, we would have you back in a heartbeat!
We still can't believe our luck at having found Kathy and Gareth to look after our bunch of rogues, and at such short notice, too.
They kept in touch throughout and clearly made friends with our furballs in only a way cat lovers can.
They also kept on top of all the watering in our not so small,garden, and Gareth even mowed the lawn for us which was such a kind gesture as we hadn't expected this.
Everything was in A1 shape on our return.
