Caroline & Richard

I am a teacher and narrative coach and I work remotely. Since my daughter grew up, I have been fulfilling my lifelong dream of living in a van and travelling in the UK and Europe with my lovely cat Peaseblossom. She has another house she stays at, so sometimes I enjoy bricks and mortar in the form of hotels and informal house-sits for friends. So it seemed like a natural next step to add some house and pet sitting to my life!

I love animals and used to be regional education manager for the RSPCA - their welfare is very important to me. I grew up with dogs and cats and horses and am very comfortable around animals of all species (except spiders). I am also a Buddhist and include vegetarianism and advocating for all living things as part of my practice.

Richard, my partner, is very house-trained and shares a needy cat with his daughter. He particularly likes dogs and doing cryptic crosswords. We enjoy house sits together but I can also do them alone.

On a house-sit I mostly would enjoy working with a new view from my laptop, caring for your home and pets and exploring the local area. If Richard was joining me, he would walk dogs, wash up and bring me coffee.

At the moment my van is being converted, so I am using my car which doesn't take up much parking space.
