Since early retirement 13 years ago. I have been sailing slowly around the world but with covid returned to UK leaving the yacht in New Zealand.

I am a quiet person, love reading, history, classical music, expeditions, mountaineering, canoeing and sailing. In the past I have had a Labrador and Springer Spaniels. Totally love animals having spent part of early life on my grandparents farm in Mid Wales. I retired 13 years ago from social work, working with young people, to concentrate more on travel. We both had a guest house, bunkhouse, outdoor centre on Loch Lomond so am used to hospitality

I am double vaccinated, a non smoker and in very good health. Happy to do care of gardens and light odd jobs around the house (I have a number of let properties so am able to do basics.) Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or queries you may have.

Bob was a brilliant house/pet sitter - incredibly flexible which was important as the ferries have been a bit iffy but also as other reviewers have said, he left us a meal for our return home! The pets were all good, and we would be happy to have him in our home any time. Thanks Bob!

Bob was a fantastic house sitter. He communicated very well, was flexible, friendly and considerate. He agreed to stay a few extra days so that I could extend my trip. He took excellent care of the pets, house and garden and even cooked a lovely dinner for me coming home. I would definitely recommend Bob as a housesitter and would be delighted to have him back any time Thank you Bob

Bob came down the evening before we were away to see the routine for the animals , so we could go away assured that they would all ( and there are a few ! ) be safe and well cared for .Which they were , Bob also did some gratefully received garden clearance during his stay . The day after Bob had left my horse galloped down the field and looked disappointed it was only me ! Bob left the house spotless and would be welcome again

Bon was amazing , jumping in pretty much last minute and making it all so easy Came back to a spotless house and happy dogs , as well as a nice bottle of Prosecco and some veggies in the pan for a soup ! He will be more than welcome anytime and most def highly recommend
