Retired from the day job as a nurse I took up house and pet sitting abroad with helpx and workaway. Even did a husband sit. I still count the time I picked up a goose that was being harassed by dogs as one of my braver moments. I was born on a farm and at various stages the house was home to fish , rabbits, guinea pigs, and a cat that was with us for 20 years. My son had a staffie for 15 years and I was first on call for holidays and weekends away.
I enjoy going to new places, and doing things different to my every day life. I enjoy being outside...in fine weather, and reading. A kindle in a lovely setting with companions of the pet variety is my idea of bliss.
DBS checked from time as a home carer during covid. I can provide a local reference from a 14 year old staffy that I have pet sat for all her life, and still enjoys a walk of a mile of two, but did not save the other references from abroad.
I'm fit active and medication free and lead a simple life.
I still have a car but would prefer a place supplied by public transport as once it dies won't be replaced.
Now living in a flat I miss the garden and happy to pull a weed or 20 while with you.
I would like full details of your pet so that I can feel that I already know them prior to the sit, health, disposition, favorites' and routines.
