Hello,

Jack, my husband and I have been house sitters / pet sitters and/0r housekeepers since returning from New Zealand in 2015.
Now we enjoy our time in Scotland our new home.
Taking time to enjoy the beautiful countryside, beaches and lots of long walks in the surroundings of the West Coast .

In September 2015 we started petsitter / co-sharing a home in Huntington for a young couple who had just got a 12 week old puppy and were not able to be at home with him in the daytime Pixel is an adorable Bernese Collie X. A big puppy and a handful of fun. We looked after Pixel for 3 weeks.

Our next sitting was in Buckingham 2 dogs, 4 cats and 2 chickens, our 3 week sit turned into a year long housekeeping / pet sitting job for us. An exciting year ; with the birth of 3 puppies and 6 sheep arriving in the paddock ! ...and 3 ex-battery hens. This proved to be an interest location a rural setting. Living in a small villiage in the countryside.

The following December to February I was in Hambledon, house sitting and caring for 2 neighbouring houses who were both venturing to the other side of world to visit relations. Between the 2 houses, I cared for 5 cats, 3 dogs, 5 chickens and a few goldfish and the little birds in the garden.

Also Housekeeping in Henley,Oxfordshire for golden Labradors 8yrs and 15yrs. The older dog taking a variety of medication. This was a 2 year job,

We loved the location so much we moved
During the lock-down and the subsequent limited travel ,longer here in Scotland than other parts of th UK, I have been walking a neighbour dog, Oscar a 5 year old Dachshund.

A little about us...
We both grew up with animals around us, cats, dogs, small birds...Jack also had dealings with pigs and chickens in his youth.. I used to ride horses when I lived in Germany.

So, together we have had experience with most of animals 4 legs and 2, fur and feather, paw and claw. We are used to being around all shapes and sizes of dogs from Dachshund. to Newfoundlands. Cat cuddling is also on our hobby list. We love all creatures great and small.

My grandfather was RSPCA officer, so I was taught from any early age to care for our furry friends.

We returned to the UK, 2015 having lived in New Zealand for 6 years, we lived in a rural area, all our friends had some kind of animal. Ourselves, we lived with Batman, a wee 8 kg tomcat, sharing our home with him when he couldn't live at the hairdressers anymore. He was an older cat who lived inside at night (so, litter trays are not a problem). We had our own house sitter/cat sitter for Batman, so know how much you want your pet loved and cared for.

Having owned and rented properties we are happy do the odd DIY job and gardening to keep the place ship shape and in good working order.
