Homeless by choice, retired grey nomads previously traveling full-time for 6+ years in our own motor-home in Australia & New Zealand. With subsequent extensive house sitting experience. (Refer to linked Australia & NZ sites.) Conservative habits, non-smokers. Both from a rural backgrounds with extensive life experience. Interests include, travel, DIY handyman and gardening. Expanding our motorhome travels to the UK & Europe in 2024-25. Please note we are traveling in a motorhome which is 7.5 m (25 ft) long x 2.3m (7'6") wide x 3.4m (11ft) high which will require off street parking, ie a rural location or large driveway/yard etc.

With a relatively late advertising on Housesitters, due to an unplanned absence, we were pleased to receive an expression of interest. We were even more delighted when we met Allan and Ngaere the day before we left, got to know them, and departed the following day, comfortable in the knowledge that our house and canine buddy Indi would be well looked after.

Lucky for us Allan & Ngaere were very understanding! The house was spotless, the dogs had obviously been well stimulated (that’s a big call with two staffies under one year old). I really enjoyed having them both here the night before we left so that we could easily run through everything for the house and pups (plus share some Aussie travel ... I was so lucky to have Allan and Ngaere look after my home and chooks. It was also lucky that their long motorhome just fitted in the driveway. They did a wonderful job of chicken care having looked after poultry a lot in their lives, They left my house as pristine as an old house could possibly be and are friendly and reliable. This is the first time I have used Aussie Housesitters and Allan and Ngaere have set the bar very high. As soon as I met them I was reassured that everthing would be well looked after in my absence.
I arrived home to a warm welcome and a house that was clean and tidy...... even the car had been washed. Most importantly, my 2 fur babies, Willow and Bonnie were relaxed and happy and had obviously been well cared for and loved while I was away. Bonnie is anxious when situations are different ... Allan and Ngaere looked after of our dog, Max and our property over the Christmas period. After speaking with them before our departure I was confident that they would do a great job and so we were able to relax over our Christmas break.
Upon our return the house was cleaner than it was before we left, Max was soft and fluffy from being brushed and the lawns had been mown.

Allan and Ngaere were ideal housesitters, able to adapt to the tasks that were needed to be done and adventurous in exploring the area(when fine enough!) My partner and I were fortunate enough to have Allan and Ngaere housesit fir us whilst we were on an overseas holiday.
While we were away they took excellent care of our home and even better care of our foster dog. They would regularly take our dog fir walks and fed him exactly how we asked them to .
