We are a middle-aged couple with a desire to see more of the UK, away from tourist hotspots wherever possible. We have done much house and pet sitting over the years for friends and family, and then discovered that there were ways of doing so in other parts of the UK. We also want to get a dog, and maybe chickens, in our next home, so it will be good experience to understand how to care for different breeds and animals; it should also not be understated how wonderful animals are for our mental and physical health. Gardening got me through the Covid lockdown so caring for your plants and garden will be a joy not a chore.
I am a qualified teacher, assessment specialist, community volunteer, tutor and wannabe/procrastinating (so not actually!) writer, mostly working from home/online these days. My partner in crime (not really, I've been repeatedly DBS checked!) works in the charity sector, is a P1 trained architect and is frankly pretty handy around the house. Sometimes we do the sits together and sometimes work commitments mean that one of us will make do alone. We are grateful to have already had some incredible experiences on sits all around the UK - from Scotland down to Devon, West Wales to Kent - making many furry (and non-furry!) friends who we hope will remember us should we meet again; we have especially loved being asked back for return/regular sits, to get reacquainted with pets and owners alike : )

Victoria was an absolute God send! We needed to reluctantly leave our 13wk old puppy for two weeks and Victoria moved in and worked wonders with our high maintenance pooch! She persevered through some of the challenging puppy behaviours and accidents and went out of her way to research the breed and work on training! The house was left in an immaculate state and she kindly send videos and updates throughout our time away! Absolutely went above and beyond - I’m hoping she’ll come again at some ... MORE

Great communication before the sit. Very little comms received while we were away, despite some issues with the pets - no reassurance afterwards that all was well. Walked the dog late morning and early eve on very hot days, with the ball, which I had been very clear about not doing. Was disappointed that Victoria had invited friends over who brought a dog with them, and despite frantic phone calls and messages as soon as I saw it on the doorbell, there was no answer. Victoria and Peter were great at looking after our cat Vinnie. We are so grateful to them who saved us when our cat sitter left us in the lurch. We came back and the flat was spotless - Peter had been kind enough to sweep and tidy up our balcony which was lovely. Thank you both!

All good. I mostly had Victoria house-sit, with a little bit of Peter staying too. Victoria was very easy to deal with, easy going, friendly and practical. The house was left very clean and tidy, and my cats were totally fine. All good.
