Travel on a shoestring
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
South Western Scotland - City of Glasgow
Erin
Our home is in the southside of Glasgow and we are looking for a family, couple or single to house-sit and take care of our 2yo cavapoo Pickle while we are away. This is our first-time house sitting.
Our home has plenty of bus links to Glasgow city centre, two large shopping centres, a two city parks and country park, and all the necessary local amenities – Supermarkets, off-licence, post shop, pharmacy, barber etc (2 minutes). Our closest train stations are either Cardonald or Dumbreck. Closest underground is Cessnock. There is private parking for two or a caravan if required and street parking. Downstairs we have an open plan kitchen, dining and living area overlooking the garden and outdoor dining area. The sofa can be used as a double bed. There is also a utility/washroom. Mid-level we have a double ensuite, a family bathroom and a double room. Top floor is a Super-king ensuite with balcony. As we have young kids, 3 and 1, there are a few kid locks and stair gates around the place. There is also an electric vehicle charger out front. The garden requires no maintenance and is fully fenced. We kindly request no loud parties out of respect for our neighbours.
Pickle is the friendliest dog you will ever meet. She wants to be everyone’s best friend. We let her out 6 times a day usually because I am either home with the children or my husband works from home. She loves her company but can be left for up to 3/4 hours at home. She is walked most days for about 1 hour. As she is still quite young she will get the zoomies if not taken out. She’s fed twice a day. Requires no medication or grooming of sorts. She has good recall when out. Is used to the lead around the streets and off-lead at appropriate parks. She tolerates car rides and has a seat belt and blanket for the car. If you were out the whole day we could potentially have someone look in on her. We would love for you to make yourself at home, look after Pickle as if she was your own and keep us updated with how she is a few times a week.
If you have a disclosure Scotland certificate or similar that would be great, but in lieu of any formal checks, a picture of proof of ID will do.
Please let us know if you are interested and a bit about yourselves.
Look forward to chatting,
Erin, Todd, the boys and Pickle.
