We live in an extended 200 year old cottage in a village called Zeals about 20 minutes from Warminster. It's a quiet village with a lovely local pub. We have a 3 year old dog called Ralph who needs two walks a day, and a short walk before bed. He's very affectionate and chills out well but he can be reactive on walks so needs a strong, firm hand. He's ok to be left on his own for up to 6 hours but also loves going out in the car, although he finds the beach too excitable! We're about 45 minutes from the gorgeous city of Bath, and about an hour from the Jurassic coast of Dorset.
We'd be looking for someone to arrive first thing on Friday morning so we can meet before we leave for our weekend away.
Our week with Ralph flew by. He is full of energy, well trained, always ready to play and a very good walker. Kate’s house and the garden are very beautiful, comfortable and easy to look after. The location is great with various walks and near by villages to explore.
We enjoyed our stay in Zeals, the area is lovely and the house is very comfortable. It was a pleasure to take care of Ralph, he is a lovely dog and very chilled once he has had a long walk. Thank you for the experience.
We were made to feel welcome from the moment we got there, shown around their stunning house, Ralph's routine and even maps of his walks.
The neighbours were really friendly, stopping to chat or saying hello and when we had a mini emergency Kate and the neighbours were so helpful.
Ralph is very intelligent, loves to play in the garden and of course, his walks but hold tight when there's a motorbike coming! He's truly adorable and melted our hearts, we enjoyed how much he liked watching TV ... MORE
