Shropshire Farmhouse with a Black Labrador

Hello, we are Coll and Lindy. Coll has retired 7 years ago and we are taking the opportunity to travel and attack our bucket list of places to visit. Now that our 4 children are all gainfully employed and have all moved out we need someone to look after our house and 8 year old Black Labrador, Tally (short for Talisker - she comes from Scotland!)
We live in a 6 bedroomed Shropshire farmhouse with a lot of history. The front was built in approx. 1680 and the main part of the building is early victorian. The house is situated in the lovely little village of Morville just 3 miles from the historic market town of Bridgnorth. We are close to a number of attractions: Ironbridge (20 Mins), Shrewsbury (30 Mins), Wolverhampton (30 Mins), Birmingham (1 hour), Chester (1.5 hours), Mount Snowdon (2 hours) and the Welsh coast (2.5 hours) to name just a few. Morville has a pub , a church and a school but no shop. While it is on the infrequent local bus route having a car for your stay would be essential to enable access to the local shops in Bridgnorth, take Tally for walks and to explore the surrounding area.
Primary responsibilities would be to look after our dog, Tally who is extremely friendly and loves company. She will need feeding twice a day and plenty of exercise. She is a working breed Labrador with endless energy and no walk is too long!! Luckily there are plenty of walks either directly from the house or within short car journeys. We also are looking for someone who will look after the house while we are away.
