We need a house sitter

South East - West Sussex

Alex

Hello, we are in Lancing, West Sussex by the sea. Lancing is quiet village but it is ten minutes away from Worthing, a large seaside town and about 20 minutes away from Brighton, a massive and diverse seaside city. We have good train links to Worthing and Brighton (10 mins and 19 mins) and the station is a short 10-15 minute walk away. The house is a terraced house on a quiet road with lovely neighbours and it has a double driveway. We have two adult bedrooms and two children's bedrooms (one with a cot and one with a specialist disability bed). There is a small kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a conservatory. We have a large flat garden. We are looking for someone to stay for a week who wouldn't mind looking after our old Cockapoo Bobby. He is 15! He's a lovely gentle boy who loves the ladies (but likes men too). He's just too old to come away with us now and doesn't particularly like being in the car anyway. He spends most of the day sleeping now but still loves going out for a walk so would hope a house sitter would give him a walk or two a day (only 10-20 minutes each around the local housing estates) so he could have a poo and lots of wees. He is 95% of the time able to hold his bladder overnight but had an infection a few weeks ago that caused him to soil the floor a couple of evenings, but he has been fine since. So, some poo/wee may need cleaning up in the mornings (he sleeps downstairs so it's on the wooden floor rather than carpet). We would ask if the garden could also be watered - there is a watering can or hose for this and won't take more than a few minutes every day/other day depending on the weather. You can also get the train direct to London (although takes a while). No pressure to do so, but any cleaning (hoovering as Bobby can get a bit hairy) would be appreciated. We have two disabled children, so coming back to a tidy house would be appreciated. We have a whole load of board games, which you are welcome to play provided that you look after them. Families will be considered provided they have good references and children that would respect the house and the neighbours.
