Pet sitting & House sitting job in South East
South East - Buckinghamshire
We are looking for a friendly, reliable house/pet sitter while we're away on holiday, we have 1 Tibetan Terrier who's 13, named Teddy, who's very friendly and sleeps a lot, he is happy to go out in the garden and enjoys a nice walk despite his age but only as and when the sitter fancies taking him as he's quite happy to go to the loo in the garden, so no pressure for walkies, we would prefer that he's not left alone for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time maximum as he's not fond of his own company. We also have 4 moggies, Bella, Lola, Lennon and Tilly, who do there own thing and live between the conservatory and garden, they're happy as long as there's food and water down for them. The cats and dog will need feeding and water changed daily, Teddy eats once daily in the morning and the cats have tinned food morning and evening and biscuits down all the time.
We live in a modern 3 bedroom house in the small village of Lane End, 5 miles from the town of High Wycombe which has great rail links to London, with private rear garden backing onto fields and driveway parking at the front. There's a modern fitted kitchen, large lounge, cloakroom, conservatory and family bathroom with large corner bath and power shower, we have a treadmill, exercise bike/cross trainer and rowing machine that our sitter(s) may use. The village is on a bus route to the nearest town of High Wycombe where you will find shops, restaurants, cinema and bowling, there is a lovely award winning bistro pub in the village called The Grouse and Ale, 2 newsagents, an off licence/convenience store and supermarket as well as an Indian restaurant and Chinese takeaway/fish & chip shop, there's also a farm shop with butchers in the village for fresh eggs, milk, meat and vegetables and a post office open 7 days a week for cash withdrawal or banking needs. The riverside towns of Henley on Thames and Marlow are 10 miles and 5 miles away, The National Trust village of West Wycombe is 3 miles away with it's famous Hellfire Caves and West Wycombe Park, home of the Dashwood family and where many films have been made such as Bridget Jones' Baby and the latest Star Wars movie. The quaint villages of Turville with it's windmill and the lovely Bull And Butcher pub is only 3 miles away, The Vicar of Dibley series was filmed here as well as Midsomer Murders which has also been filmed in the nearby village of Hambleden, Nanny Mcphee, and 101 Dalmatians were filmed here. There are plenty of lovely countryside villages and walks to explore right on our doorstep. If you prefer to explore further afield then Windsor with it's historic castle and racecourse is 30 minutes away, you can get into London via High Wycombe train station or M40, alternatively Oxford in the other direction is within 45 minutes.
We are open to single house sitters, couples or families with older children and look forward to hearing from you!
