70, Tour Guide/Park Ranger

My name is Bill (Philip) and I am originally from London but have lived most of my working life in Australia where I work as a Nature Tour Guide running 4WD camping tours in the outback (utube/bill snooks/Uluru and Ayers Rock). I have also worked as a Park Ranger, Outdoor Education Instructor and on farms. I am 70 and a non-smoker. I have been back in the UK for seven years now spending time with family and travelling through pet and house-sitting. I am registered with Trusted House Sitters and have completed over 90 sits with them; due to the situation with coronavirus and the shortage of sits with fewer people travelling, I have decided to register with this site also. Many of the sits I have completed through Trusted House Sitters have become repeat sits. I am a reliable and your home will be well cared for and left clean and tidy. I can put you in touch with people who's animals i have looked after through THS and can send you work references. Currently there are four reviews on this site. Thank you.

Thank you so much to Bill for being a fabulous cat/house sitter for both our 2 cats. We came home to our happy pets having clearly been well cared for and our house tidy and clean. Bill sent us regular updates about our cats and communicated well at all points during and before the sit. He was a pleasure to have stay at our home and we would certainly have him back or recommend him to others looking for a sitter. Thanks again, Caroline, Neil and the cats!

Bill was an absolutely splendid dog sitter - photo updates every day - kept to our dog’s morning and evening routine - tended the garden and left the house spotless. But more than that Bill clearly loves animals and has a lifetime of valuable experience (and some great stories) to call upon. A lovely man. Highly recommended!

Bill and Roe were fantastic, felt totally confident leaving the house and dog in their capable hands. Would definitely have them back to stay in the future.

YOUR REVIEW OF THEM: Phil and Roe are a lovely couple who enjoy life to the full. They were very attentive when we were giving them advice and instructions, they attended to our garden as best they could considering the extremely hot weather and the fish became their best friends. Bill stood in at the last minute to look after my two rabbits. I couldn't have asked for a better person! Bill is very considerate, taking time to understand what my rabbits would need before looking after them. Bill communicated with us before, during and after the visit. Keeping us up to date on the rabbits, as well as sending us some photos of them so we knew they were safe and well. A big thanks to Bill for taking such great care of Lolly and Coco as well as our home. Bill arrived a couple of days before our departure which was a real benefit and our two cats took to him quickly and loved their time with him. So much so that I don't think they noticed us not being there. Bill was kind enough to provide us with lots of updates on the cats and how the sit was going during our holiday which was reassuring for us. No rating Bill is a really genuine guy and animal lover who took great care of our cats Django and Socksie at our flat in Hove while we were away from 8th-15th November, texting regular updates on their welfare, and he left flat nice and tidy toowith towels washed! Would thoroughly recommend Bill as a pet sitter.
