Hi! I’m Donna (accounting background, followed by ten years of travel writing and now a full time house sitter) and I’m available to house sit for you and your adorable pets!

My husband and I have been house sitters for over a decade, in the UK and Europe, and we regularly do return sits. Sadly, my husband passed away recently but I am continuing as a house sitter, as I’ve always loved it so much. You can see our wonderful testimonials here, and I can also provide references.

I am fit and active, and I enjoy meeting new people and exploring different environments and cultures. I love meeting new cats and doggies, and really getting to know and love them.

My daily rate for house sitting until 31/03/2024 is £25 per day, or part thereof, regardless of the number of pets you have. If you compare that to the cost of a kennels stay, you’ll see it’s excellent value for money, especially when you consider that your home is being looked after too!

Please note that my mode of transport is a six metre motorhome (called Monty!) and I do need space to park on or right next to the property.

We cannot thank Donna enough for the wonderful care she took of our dogs Molly & Peppa while we went on a recent holiday. It was the first time for us using a pet sitter. Donna is such a warm and caring lady who made us feel very comfortable leaving everything with her while we went away. Will definitely want to have Donna stay again. Our girls loved the attention she showed them. Thank you so much xx

This was our first experience of House Sitters UK and Donna & Phil were a wonderful introduction. They were perfect. We met a few days before, exchanged information and we went away fully confident that all would be OK. And it was. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Professional, friendly and conscientious they really knew what they were doing and our little dog was so happy I'm not sure she noticed we'd gone!

Donna & Phil looked after Bentley for 2 weeks over Christmas & New year. Communication was great and we felt so comfortable going away knowing he would be cared for. We came home to a happy boy and a tidy home. This was our first experience through house sitters and it has been such a lovely process thanks to the both of you. Bentley can't wait for your next stay.

Donna & Phil looked after our eight year old Shar Pei for two weeks in August. Frank absolutely loved both Donna and Phil and enjoyed lots of walks along the beach and through the woods. It was very reassuring to know that we Frank was being so well looked after while we were away. A great sit!

Donna and Phil looked after our home when we managed to get away very last minute. The communication was excellent and returning home the house and garden were immaculate, the animals spoilt rotten . We couldn't have been more pleased.

Well , what can I start, from the first communication with Donna I just knew we had the right people. Our dogs are deaf and blind and with them being really old there is no way we could put them in kennels. Donna and phil took great care of if our dogs, sending us pics daily and telling us about funny things they had been up to. The house was immaculate when we got home (much tidier then we ever had it) Donna even went out of her way to cut our grass! The only thing we are disappointed about it ... MORE

Donna and Phil were brilliant sitters. They took the time to speak with us and visit ahead of their sit. Our rescue Pip is nervous and this was the first time we were leaving her since she came to live with us . We were kept updated with photos and videos and they were very patient and understanding. It was so reassuring to see both dogs having a cuddle and so relaxed, we could see how happy both Reggie and Pip were. This was our first experience of having a house sitter - why didn't we do it before? If we'd had to design a blueprint for our perfect housesitters Donna and Phil would have fitted the description completely! Communication from the beginning of our contact to our arrival home was just right, and enough to reassure us that everything was fine. Donna and Phil were a delight to meet. They looked after my house extremely well and left it spotless and smelling gorgeous> All my pets were very happy and well loved, and didn't seem to miss me being away. I highly recommend this couple as house and petsitters and hope I am lucky enough to have them stay again sometimg.

This was our first experience of having house sitters. We were a bit nervous as we have two lively Hungarian Vizsla's who have never been left before not to mention the cat! Phil and Donna arrived a couple of days early which was great as we and our pets got to know them. There was no need to worry! Donna and Phil were fantastic! We quickly warmed to them; us, the children and Dilly! Dilly, the house and garden were well cared for and we enjoyed our evenings together. We had a day between holidays and Donna cooked us supper and Phil entertained the children, we couldn't have asked for more! The perfect house sitters and we look forward to seeing them again soon.
