A UK citizen, based in Sydney, retired independent and capable, love to visit family and friends in the UK, and discover magic corners of the country. Year after year, except for two year COVID 'break', have had a wonderful time house-minding and pet-sitting across the UK. As a homeowner with large garden, I have a good idea as to what is needed to keep house clean and garden well maintained. Had dogs all my life and lost my last pooch a few years ago, currently owned by one cat, so love having the opportunity to look after pets. As I am no longer working I now have time to travel. House-sitting seems to be an ideal way of combining my love for animals and for travel. I would love to hear from home/pet owners who are in need of a house-sitter. It would be lovely to hear from you if you think I would be suitable.

I could tell my cat Lucy felt comfortable with Joan as soon as she met her. I felt at ease the whole time I was away knowing that Lucy was in caring and attentive company. Joan was really accommodating to my travel times, and I appreciated the regular updates and the communication before the sit started. I returned home to a happy and relaxed cat and a perfectly clean flat. Thank you Joan and enjoy the rest of your UK trip.
