We are both non-smoking recently retired civil servants based in Bristol, very much enjoying the flexibility this brings to fill our time with leisure activities and volunteering locally. We said goodbye to our 20 year old cat last year after ‘owning’ cats for most of our lives. All have lived to a grand age and we miss them dreadfully. We have both volunteered for the local branch of Cats Protection for many years. We also love to travel at home and abroad and have been lucky enough to combine our love of animals with our love of travel on various safaris, including seeing tigers in India and a close encounter with gorillas in Rwanda. We are looking forward to engaging with owners’ pets, treating them as we would our own, whilst helping to provide security during their absence. We know from our own experience how worrying it can be to have to leave your beloved pet.
